Game isnt pay to win, but its certainly pay to not suffer. Not sure how anyone bothers playing the game f2p.

For me, I just hope that Firebirds packs will be 50% off. Otherwise there’s going to be basically nothing for me to buy.

Not sure what do you mean by suffering. I quite enjoy playing War Thunder with regular tech tree vehicles, however I have quite a lot of premiums. I simply enjoy specific vehicles, regardless of their premium status.
In regards to researching tech trees - I never felt pressure to play top tier, enjoyed tech tree from very start until end with many vehicles spaded on the way. Researching is done while having fun ;)
Sadly i didn’t played a lot recently so i got few things researched when the sales hit,so i only bought the XM975,the new German Wheely boy and the OF-40.
In terms of GE/pack sales,i pray that they give the 50% discount to the AV-8B(NA) and the Centauro RGO because i want to keep grinding US air (and the AV-8B is perfect for it) and Italian 7.7-8.0 is just a suicide so i’m going to use the RGO.

It gets pretty grindy after ww2 BRs, and stock vehicles become an issue when you really want dart+lrf+thermals.
WW2 stock vehicles come with their best or near best round stock, and dont get thermals or lrf so they play fine out of the gate.
Same issue with planes, no countermeasures, no missiles, lack of full missile loadouts, etc.
So ya my bad I should have specified later TT or more modern equip.
nothing because gaijin won’t take ANY of my credit/debit cards. From 3 different banks. And won’t give me any answer as to why they won’t. over 6 years of playing and paying this way and no help at all.

Well, I can agree to part of that, near the top tier, ground vehicles are lacking anything better than HEAT-FS, which makes it problematic to grind.
However with planes it’s totally different story. Initially I thought that lack of better missile loadouts is going to slow down research of upgrades, but it doesn’t. All you have to do is adjust playstyle to your current loadout - for example, I recently play MiG-21bis, it comes with stock 2x R60, but it is still a great fighter, therefore I go away from initial battle and around to catch those slow Su-25 or A-10s ;) this tactic applies to most planes, while top jets come with initial loadout of 2x AMRAAMs and 2x IR seekers which makes the research much easier (well, depends on missiles, I still don’t like using AIM-120s in close range).
Regardless, these sales are great for buying researched vehicles, I learned to simply research them and unless necessary or really want one, then I leave the purchase until sales. This way I have enough silver lions for expert crews if needed or lootboxes. I also used the opportunity to get the FFA P-16 30% off :D just for collection.
Also bought all the TT vehicles at the 30% discount I had previously unlocked.
