So no…with the current state of the game i doubt even APFSDS would be able to deal with a T58
Yeah, it was volumetric BS.
But that doesn’t happen all the time.
Most APFSDS can deal with T58 no problem, and have better angle pen than all APHE shells.
The problem is that the T58 has 40 degrees of turret rotation with great HESH and 2.6s reload, so it may not always be possible to engage it, and the armour (especially at the chin / frontal plates) are still quite good against APFSDS to be fair.
Just that you must aim for the left turret cheek (where the commander and gunner sit) or the ammo carousel.
Not all the time?It took me 5 hours to do 35k points yesterday simply cause every shot didnt pen or didnt do damage

You dont usually have that enough time to aim at weakspots when hes already looking at you,considering he can overpressure you even by not even shooting at you

Just that you missed your first shot, and the fuel tank unfortunately ate your second shot.
I mean you do as long as he isn’t aware of you, and / or busy engaging someone else.
The first shot on the T55 was a non pen a direct side
The second shot its way more weird since he should have imploded by somehow the fuel tank ate that like a champ (Which btw on russian MBTs happens way too often)
Tho we do agree on volumetric being bad so…

No, you shot too low, and one of the petals hit him.
It happens to all vehicles with fuel tanks, just that Russian tanks usually have more fuel tanks in the front and sides of their tanks. The T-55s are great example.
French tanks and Chinese tanks also love absorbing shots via fuel tanks because of their abundance of fuel tanks. Just look at the Leclerc, ZTZ59D1, or the AMX-30 Super, for example.
Yes, just that it isn’t as common as you think.
Though it is common enough to be frustrating.

Yeah that one was just Volumetric BS. I don’t think the fuel tanks had anything to do with that shot.
