The Bf 109 E-4 (non prem version of the Japanese 109 I assume) is absolutely disgusting.

I haven’t see P39N under this post is wild, Personally I think P39N at 2.7 is the most disgusting and broken plane br to br for the whole game. Your low speed power is so good you can essentially spiral up everything you see after the merge unless is something like a spitfire or zero, plus you turn pretty well to all being with. The MEC doesn’t kill much performance while significantly reduce the overheats. Even in a full up tier you are still very very good, and in a down tier you just wipe everyone. The guns are a main draw back but you will get used to it. And you get to fight low tier enemy, thats makes of alot of high kills game.

true, i unlocked it a month ago and it is still a menace, it not only made me learn energy combat and bnz, but the 37mm is just so satisfying to use, because i can just tap my mouse and they are gone, bombers hate me and teammates love me.

IMO the Yak-1B at 3.0 is pretty cracked, great straight-line speed, great guns (minus ammo count), good turn, and fantastic acceleration. Whenever I want to lay back and get kills, I play the Yak-1B
Also, the BF-109 F-1 at 2.7 is pretty damn good and arguably better if you prefer a more traditional-style energy fighter as you see in the later 109s, but at a significantly lower BR. Fantastic energy retention and climb rate at this tier, and if you have good trigger discipline, the 60 rounds of MG-FF/M will do wonders
Idk, at 2.7, I think the BF-109 F-1 is better. Sure, in a 1v1, I’d rather have the P-39N-0, but with the BF-109F-1, you can just play it like you do a later 109 like a F-4, but at a super low battle rating.
So although the P-39N-0 is the better plane in terms of raw engine power at low altitudes, you can’t do the classic tried-and-true climb to 5km and work your way down the BF-109.
Personal preference though.
