Except the missile count (which is worthless) is there a single advantage over the Rafale when using Su-30sm2?
You lose close range, micas are superior R-73s with more range and better seeker (R-73s get flared too easily)
You lose long range, R-77s just get notched while the MICAS have a better seeker
Not to mention the MAWS Rafale has so you can’t even use sneaky missile launches
The MICA and Rafale are just so much better than everything else
yeah rafale is better in a tournament setting/1v1 but in regular arb the radar of the su-30sm2 makes it essentially on par with rafale as you can shoot and datalink targets wayyy off boresight which is very handy

Its a niche but useful one, and with number of hardpoints on Su-30 its not like you give up crucial capability by taking one or two R-27ERs for some shenanigans.
you can shoot r-77 sure, but the r-77 itself will easily get notched. Your radar doesnt help during ARH homing phase.
Except as long as missile has datalink and on radar screen it has symbol it can recieve DL update, it will recieve targeting data from the airplane radar.
and r-77 has a worse seeker making it more susceptible to notching. So everyone is garbage at long range then

Su-30SM2 has R-27ER for range (R-77-1s shred MICA rangewise too)
R-27ER is the hardest missile to defeat in the game, thanks to the ridiculous kinematics and the fact you can just relock it while not being able to tell how far away the missile itself is from your aircraft if it’s targeting you. (Stealth relocks also add to this) You also cannot tell how many Fox-1s are actively flying towards you
R-77-1s have the best missile kinematics in the game, making them a very close contender to rafale for best missile.
Su-30SM2 gets 12 of them.
Su-30SM2 has the best missile kit in the entire game thanks to this.
both MICA and R-77-1 can be launched in TRK MEM.
Su-30SM2 has the better radar (thanks to gimbal limits) too which helps with datalinking missiles.
What rafale has is MAW, better defensive kit and fm, tbh barely better Fox-3.
