What about spain?

Id say that Iberia as a whole just have enough to form a complete subtree and thematically, would continue the theme of soft but mobile Italian vehicles in its TT. It even uses modern Italian armored vehicles (like the Centauro) to this day. It would feel like that theres not a whole lot but if you look at the old forums discussion on an independent Iberian tree, it has enough unique vehicles on it. So many prototypes and drawings though so youll have to sift through that as well but Id say they pretty much have enough.

Its just going to be funny thinking though that if it did happen, I can definitely see somebody suggest the M10 Booker to be on the Iberian subtree as well since its based on the GDLS ASCOD II Griffin AFV.

an american company, the booker was likely developed in the us, not by GDELS, it has no business in the Spanish tree.

Spain isn’t a race…

No they should not. Italy has already seen the addition of hungary, wich did not help the techtree. In fact by adding those vehicles, not only they lost every logic, since soviet vehicles in an all NATO techtree has no point; they also basically signed the give up document on adding italian actual domestic designs (go take a walk on the italian suggestions), they added hungary to make Hungarians happy and “helping italy”, wich did not help it at all, as all the domestic designs, that would make the techtree great, are now really likely gonna be ignored…
Same would be with spain…

Also if you do take a walk on the suggestion forum for italy keep in mind that there are a lot of vehicles even yet to be suggested…

subtree? Spain, Portugal and some american countries (like Brazil) must have their own tree.

On this image you can add the future F35, Mig29, Su30 or Gripen.

Another user talks about Spain within Germany, could this make sense? Maybe, but what do we do with Poland and Switzerland?

I mean it’s an American derivative of the harrier so I could see it going to US as event, or UK idc which I’d grind it anyways

Bro that’s almost all just ATGM strapped to Humvees, MRAP or APC. And then some mediocre IFV with autocannon. Nothing remotely interesting

Yes,but the adition of them will make autocanons more usefull.
They are better than copy-paste.

But that’s like already the case.

What’s so bad about it? I bet lot of vehicles aren’t even playable in any other games, with the exception of maybe WoT and WoWp.

? Tf does that even mean

As a Spanish, I would love to see my country. It’s true that we don`t have a lot of domestic designs, but we could easely be a subtree with CASA aviation. For example the HA-1112, HA-101 and the HA-200 would be very interesting to see in WT.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a thought that has been on my mind for quite a while.

It’s a bit sad to see how, throughout the years of War Thunder’s life, Spain has been rather forgotten in terms of representation in the game. Even though, as a country, we have a rich military history and have contributed so much to the development of planes, tanks and ships, it seems that we haven’t received the attention we deserve.

What we currently have in the game are a few skins on vehicles from other nations, such as Germany and the Soviet Union in tier 1 for example, but nothing more. And while we’re not asking for a whole army of vehicles and planes, it would be great to see a bit more representation of our own history.

Spain has produced some very important aircraft and tanks, including:

Hispano Aviación HA-1112 (a Spanish version of the Messerschmitt Bf 109, used during the Civil War and the post-war period)
Casa C-101 (a jet trainer very important in the training of pilots of the Spanish Air Force)
CASA 2.111 (medium bomber derived from the Heinkel He 111H-16 and produced under license in Spain)
Eurofighter Typhoon (developed together with the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy)
inter alia…

As for vehicles, we have also had our own developments such as the Tanque Verdeja, BMR, Pizarro, Vec-M1, a Spanish modification of the AMX-30, and the AMX-30 itself, which although of French manufacture, was widely adopted and modified by our armed forces.

It is true that we have also used vehicles from other nations, such as:

Harrier AV-8B (a vertical takeoff attack aircraft serving for Armada (navy))
F-18 Hornet (American made, used as a fighter-bomber)
F-104 Starfighter (American interceptor fighter)
Mirage III (French fighter used for years by our Air Force)
F-86 Sabre (American fighter that was part of our ranks)
F-4 Phantom (American fighter-bomber)
F-5 Freedom Fighter (American light fighter)
Mirage F1 (French fighter)
M41 Walker Bulldog (American tank adapted by Spain)
Panzer IV (German tank used during the Spanish Civil War)
Leopard 2E (German tank)
AMX-30 (french made)
M-109 (Self-propelled howitzer)
M48 (us made)
Centauro (8x8)
inter alia…

It is true that many of these foreign vehicles had a great impact on our armed forces, but we have also had our own production that, in my opinion, deserves greater representation within the game. Recently, the Eurofighter Typhoon was included, Spain has been the only country producing the aircraft that does not even have a skin.

At the very least, and if it is not possible to include more national vehicles, it would be great to see a representation of our Armed Forces through skins of existing vehicles and aircraft, as is done with other nations. It would be a way to see our military identity reflected in the game without the need to add large amounts of new content. From the planes with the Spanish Air Force scheme to the tanks with the markings of our units, it would be a nice gesture for the Spanish community.

I am not asking for Spain to take the place of other nations, or for it to be the absolute priority in the game, but I would simply like to see more of our legacy in War Thunder, something that Spanish players can enjoy and feel represented by.

Thanks for reading and I hope more players identify with this small complaint. In the end, we are all here to enjoy the game and it would be great to see a little more of Spain reflected in it.

Greetings.

Spain doesnt have modern designs, but it has a lot of old designs like the HA-1109 or the HA 200, for example. and its not old, but we could include the eurofighter

admin lisen to this guy please

@DiscorderlyC

Man, I would love this. I hate that in so-called “simulator battles”, half the players on each team are playing captured vehicles, so your Allied team will be going up against Italian Shermans and German T-34s - many more players play these captured vehicles in Simulator than in Realistic, which is a real problem. Similarly, I severely dislike running into a 1946 autoloader Swedish testbed with my 3.7 Russian early WW2 lineup in a Simulator battle. Give me a semi-historical game mode!

These are not captured

You get my point. Historically, these fought with the Allies, not against them. In Simulator Battles, people play them against the Allies, in order to trick them into thinking that they are on the same team.
