I’m a End-Year 2D/3D digital art student, and I can say from experience that the kind of work involved in 3D-modeled anime body pillows is very different from making realistic in-game assets. The process usually starts with 2D art that’s then applied as a texture over a 3D model in programs like Blender or Unity.
It might sound simple, but it’s a specialized workflow. And artists who focus on stylized or animated figures don’t necessarily have the skills (or training) for realistic cockpit modeling. Each area of game art requires different tools, techniques, and artistic knowledge. For example, I can make 2D art easily, but 3D modeling is still challenging for me.
So while priorities are definitely important, it’s also true that these kinds of assets often come from entirely different artists or even external contractors, not from the people who could be working on cockpit models.

I was going to post a similar vein of thought, but seeing how things get a bit wobbly about calling other players rude things I refrained. But I have to agree the whole thing is very very weird and while the people may not need to be put on a national or international register their web searches and traffic need to be monitored.
