you would expect a company that is predatory on making money and wanting more money to hire more employees to make things that will cost more money in order make more money in the long term instead of what they are currently doing? i dont think so

The whole Furry thing makes me want to vomit, period.
Like it or not, furries are well known to be suspiciously wealthy. And any smart corpo is going to at minimum try to stay on their good side, or pander to them slightly.
