We need more bases for all tiers of air

I am writing to express my frustration with the current state of air matches, particularly regarding the number of bases available. As a player who often engages in stock grinding with bombers such as the F-105, F-111, Su-24, Su-7, and Su-17/22, I find it incredibly challenging to secure a base due to the limited number of bases (3-5) in each match. Faster jets and interceptors, like the MiG-21 and F-5, often take out the bases before I can reach them, which is extremely frustrating.

I believe that adding 12-18 more bases to air matches would significantly improve the gameplay experience. This change would not only make the matches more enjoyable but also ensure that players in bombers have a fair chance to contribute to their team’s success. I am confident that over 90% of the player base would support this change.

It often feels like our feedback goes unheard unless there is significant pressure from the community. Implementing this change would demonstrate that you are listening to your players and are committed to enhancing the overall gaming experience.

I think the overwhelming majority of players want more bases (Though your 12-18 figure might be a tad excessive), and equally as many would like to see their respawn timers come back to what they used to be instead of being longer than most battles as they are rn.

But we ended up here because snail doesn’t like us earning RP, so i wouldn’t hold my breath expecting them to do a 180 on this unfortunately.

Its not fun playing a Bucc or Vark and every base is taken by a fighter

I half agree.

Adding more bases wont really fix anything. Because the fast jets like the F4s will just get 2 bases each instead of 1 and the slower strike aircraft won’t get anything still.

Adding LOADS of bases as well will just result in the reward for each 1 being so low that again, not a lot will be fixed.

The better solutions would be

  1. increase the respawn rate of bases from 5 minutes to 3 minutes

  2. add a permanent “heavy” base that takes a lot to be destroyed but at least gives some reward for being damaged, this could even just be the enemy airfield

  3. increase the number of bases from 4 to 6

  4. add an RB EC gamemode (SIM but RB) which is far better suited for ground attackers

oh ok good point i mean if the make the timer be like every 1 minute i think that would work but since the makes bases i have seen in a game they could just make it 5-6 bases every match tho and have the airbases be the main target and give u the reward of 2 bases win destroyed tho

yea true

I mean, I’d rather get some rewards than none at all when bases are worth less.

Maybe, i still think with 16 bases, getting any base kills in some jets wont be a guarantee and if I’m now earning half as much from each, then it’s just going to slow down the ground even more than it is currently

I had some games in the Gr4 recently where I got 4 base kills. So it can be done

id prefer at least some reward over zero tbh

Which is where something like attackable AFs like we have in Sim would be the overall better choice imo, rather than dozens of bases

I want a return of 2015 base bombing where four tu4s ends the game in 2 minutes, THAT WAS THE GOLDEND DAYS

We need less players per game.

The problem with more bases: It will increase the number of “fighter-bombers”, which are players rushing for bases in fighters like MiG-21, P-47…

But we need more active gameplay in air battles and leave the bases for the already struggling bombers.

Yes, as of now bombers have literally no impact in air battles and are just food for late props/early jets.

back then in 2015 to actualy destroy a bomber you needed some brain and was risky to aproach it, the Tu4 would destroy any noob aproaching it. But gayjin realized is too easy to grind air with bombers and nerfed all bombers and now we have a game where bombers are usless in air rb, and in grb they are just a meme.

What gajin needs to do is in air rb to remove all bomb payloads from all planes that are not real cas/bombers in RL. There is no way a mig21 would go fight some yankee planes carying bombs and viceversa in real life, same goes with the modern planes, when they go in a air patrol mission they never carry bombs only AA missles. This would force all ppl using fighters to actualy use the plane as intended not just rush the base die and repeat.

I’d rather actually get to experience PvP instead of having it get ended by spacebar warriors before the fight begins, thank you very much.

My stance on PvE/bombing in air RB is that it generally is a detriment to the mode. Adding even more bases is just going to turn teams into hordes of low-skill players flying in straight lines and pressing space, turning air RB into a mundane grindfest with poor gameplay. That means MORE people zurg rushing bases in F-4, MiG-21S abd such.

With the minimal effect it has on matches, I believe bases should be removed, and bombing should only be used on strategically important targets to stay in the mode. (airfields, AI convoys)

And SO MANY people still do it. They clearly haven’t made it less effective.

Multirole fighters: Go look at pictures, you commonly see F-16s loaded with guided bombs and AAMs at the same time.

So what do you propose? Force players to dogfight in strike aircraft or bombers because there are no bases?

Or just straight up delete all of them from the game?

Did you read? I proposed overhauling it if you dont want bases gone. Besides, there are always bots on the ground to shoot at. Which happen to actually have an effect on the game!!

So. In something like a Tornado. Im now not evading the entire enemy to hit 1 base, im instead having to fly around taking out pillboxes instead, which will only result in me being even more vulnerable. And if those AI targets are really the intended target. They need their reward increased by about 10x
