- What are the in-game vehicle data provenance criteria? Why is it that players are more credible when submitting information, but the development team still relies on their own sources? What are the sources of information for the development team?
- What does the development team think is the balance of the game? Why is the KH38MT considered unbalanced as an air-to-surface missile with a range of nearly 20 km in actual combat in the game, and why is a CM502KG with similar performance to the Spike missile considered unbalanced? Why does the Soviet tech tree get more beneficial changes every time it is updated? Why is the Chinese tech tree getting weaker than average vehicles or changes with each update?
- Regarding the issue area administrators, is the development team truly effective in managing its staff? Why is it that the issue area administrators can exhibit inconsistent statements and actions? Why do different administrators display completely divergent attitudes towards issues? Are there any comprehensive requirements or rules regarding issue submissions?
The above three questions are the ones I desperately want to get answers from the War Thunder development team, and as a game development team with 24w daily active players, I think the above three questions are easy to answer. And I also hope that the development team will not be overly confident and arrogant, your achievements and achievements today are held up by players, I hope to really listen to the opinions of players, and really see the current status of your game. I don’t want the games I love to be like this …
Developers are free to ignore, reject and accept player’s report if these same reports doesn’t affect the game, at least is the most realistic answer we can have just by looking how they treat the Community Bug Report System.
CM-502KG will likely not be implemented soon, as said by Smin1080p_WT, ‘fire and forget’ missiles with Lock-on after launch (LOAL) is not planned currently:
The Developers don’t have control over the staff, this task is given to team directors only, which is obvious; while developers have some power, they’re regular interns as any other staff.
You, as me, as everyone else can’t ask directly to the developers to answer question just because you want, Community Managers is the guys that do this work, they communicate with the community, it’s a bridge between development team and community in general.
As to your primary concern…game has a team and team members have jobs to do…devs have a game to make and mods handle forums…i am guessing most players prefer devs concentrate on making the game…
It should be obvious that if devs took time answering you and the hundreds of similar questions there would be lot less time to work on the game…so they hire (or enrol) people to handle communications…
Somewhere way above my pay grade someone will select what to tell the devs from the communication with the players…it is not “confidence” or “arrogance”…it is basic management.
I know it will not sound good to you…but your question does not look so different from hundreds of similar ones that appear every day…(i personally don’t even know what the issue is as it is also above my playing level). As a personal note…every time i read something about some nation being too strong/weak i become very sceptical…
You can see here the list of updates…it includes sources for many changes to vehicles, including those that originate from PLAYER input. Of course someone has to decide what to accept and what not…

As to how staff and forum works:
https://forum.warthunder.com/guidelines
As said above…you can always PM someone about your concerns…
And i guess most players prefer devs make a vehicle complete when they release the update instead of bring a broken and unrealiastic one and say grind another 40K RP to get a shiny DIRCM!
I’d prefer if Developers (specifically head developers) spoke more with the community. Obviously not to the level of the Forum Mods, but I’d love to see developers being honest and answering massive questions from the community. i.e. the proof behind aspects of the Kh-38MT (one of the most controversial missiles in the game), the future of War Thunder (Infantry?)
I wouldn’t be against developers popping on here every now and then and clarifying choices that they’ve made, especially those being discussed by hundreds or thousands over a large period of time.
