We need a system that allows you to compliment good/helpful players

Storeh - Playing advance to the rhine at 10.0, of course the same old thing happens where 90% of the team do their thing and steam into A for team deathmatch.

I go through the middle of the map to push C.

There’s an enemy there and i’m pinging him with machine gun and map alerts, he’s got me pinned in the forest, and is then joined by a friend.

I see this Leo steaming from B down the back road responding to my pings, flanks behind, kills one, crits the other as I start pushing and then finishes him off.

I wait in C to repair, he speeds off to A, I see the same two guys coming back to C for some revenge, I ping again and this CHAD turns around, ignores A, and comes back. Between us we take these two guys out before he rushes back to A to help in the TDM. I stay holding C and he comes back AGAIN when another 2 players start pushing me on C and we both get a kill each.

We won, and he finished on 11 kills, 2 caps, 1 assist and a couple of deaths. Blackcat#46 you’re a true player.

Point being, there should be a way to compliment decent players, and say every 10 positive reports they get, they get a gift like a wager or 10% booster. Obviously the rewards can’t be too high otherwise people will manipulate it in squads, and make a limit to the number of times you can compliment a player or something, but so many other games have a feature that is similar to this.

In the sea of bots and cheaters, it’s refreshing to actually get someone who plays the game as it should be and has an IQ higher than room temperature.

i wager any system that would actually reward other players, like the boosters you suggested, would just be abused by botters or whatever

This is such a good idea that it honestly makes you wonder why it wasnt implemented yet. For all the annoying matches with 0 teams you have, bugs, getting gaijinned, volumetricked, griefed, matched with or against cheaters and all you can do is report players or ask for a change on the forums, in any way youre dealing with quite a high load of negative things.

Yet that one time you have an awesome team, or someone that stands out specifically, all you can do is text this player afterwards and be like"gg, well played etc…" which i do and it always feels wholesome (because it doesnt happen a lot) most games have something like this.

It could also be coupled with getting special decals for a certain amount of compliments/positive feedback of other players (could be implemented that it needs to be different players not always the same 3, this would only count as 3 total no matter how often those squadmates/friends do so) or EVEN a unlockable vehicle or whatever for a VERY high amount. Like, this games whole selling point is content. Encourage friendly, good and playstyle/team spirit encouraging behavior by giving these players content is not the worst idea, srsly.

Would encourage being helpful and a teamplayer and is a mechanic that afaik most other big pvp games already uses. not WT tho, interestingly.

Make suggestion! Well , you can always PM them , they will see it at some point…

Even just a system/method to “send a compliment” or “someone said you did awesome in a match”, showing to them as some graphic (e.g. heart, thumbs up, or some other icon).
Sent anonymously (or optionally could include your nick if you wanted).

Could even have a few options of pre-made text which appears to them in their own language (rather than a chat message from a different language) so they understand it.
e.g. A notification of something like

Someone sent you:
“hey, thanks for helping me”
or, “You did awesome that match!”
…etc…

Doesn’t have to add up to a reward (to avoid abuse) or be visible to anyone else via in-game methods (to avoid narcissm)… just a good ol’ warm fuzzy :)

Or maybe just one of these somehow . . .

Getting one of these randomly without trying to farm it or advertise it… feels good.

“you did the best you could and i appreciate that. unfortunately it wasn’t enough this match because we were the only two players of our team with that mindset. But i hope your next matches will be rewarded with more success. GL bro”

:-D that one you can send almost every match.

Yeah I feel you. Would be nice being able to send and receive praise/likes.

I remmeber a match I had on Poland where I held the hill cpa alone against like half the ebemy team and my teammates still got steamrolled on the other side of the map even though literally 99% of our team was on one cap and only half of the enemies were.

Make the repair/extinguish reward same as a kill assist

if a certain group of players wouldnt abuse the hell out of it with bot accounts i could see it being rather good. However we cant have nice things because some people poison the well

we totally need that

It’s called T-4-6.
Well done and T-4-3

That’s a broadcast to the whole team so it’s very often misunderstood / ambiguous, plus a lot of times it’s just for one specific action (not including cheers and fist-pumps at the end of the match)

So the idea would be more for whole match, and specific person.

Yeah cause that’s honestly all you need right now.
If you wanted more command prompts, they would need to be voiced and translated into every language in the game, and even then, that’s something you can suggest, not a thread.

Not so much an instant in-battle action thing, because the battle shuts down too quick once near the end. So no voicing needed. More of an after-battle (in hangar) option to send / notification received.

The “battle” lasts as long as you leave the “Results” window open.
Once you close that, the match is “officially” over and you can no
longer “interact” with it. Whether you want to report someone for
something in the match, or should your idea come to fruition it could
be done there as well.
But once closed, you can longer even view or do anything related to that
particular battle. You can view part of the Results in the Replay window
and see some more details in the Msg Center in the Battles tab.
But you are done with any interaction concerning that match.

I think the ability to right click a player from a match there in the Results
window afterwards and “acknowledge” them in a favorable manner somehow
would be a cool thing. How and where it would show up fpr them . . not
really sure . .
Perhaps it could show up here -

in the Msg Center.

I mean that’s already there anyway, maybe they could use it for that too.

just a thought

They certainly have a lot of free space with the World War and System Notifications tabs… has anything ever appeared there? (rhetorical… although, seriously, has anything appeared in them?)

But, it’s not so much a real-time interaction with the battle. You can report players a long time after the fact, so why not have the ability to give a compliment too?

Could appear somewhere in the recipient Player’s profile section perhaps?
