They are unfriendly to all but people without family, work, school or anything beyond free time.

I got a free vehicle on the first or second Battlepass. As i am a casual player it required me to play for longer and had family complaints and some effect on deadlines at work.
(I am also not a very good player so some objectives required multiple tries)
SO…when they moved the goalposts further i simply gave up on events…and have my fun playing “normally”.
I assume the events are tailored for Dedicated and/or Skilled players…and i also assume the number of rewards awarded is used to tailor them…
Just don’t sacrifice school for pixels.

I think you can get the star in like 3hrs played, so that’s around 90 minutes per day.
Surely this changes with your skill but I don’t think anyone needs most of the day to finish 50% of the star.
Events, i didnt mean the battlepass, tho i dont bother about that anyway.
Same idea applies. If it takes too much effort (and stress on life) i simply wont even try…
I look up the requirements on any new event/pass/decal/whatever and check if doable with acceptable increase in gametime. If so i will try…it not i will simply ignore it.
As a side note…when i studied i recall having LOTS more time to play games…not in “exam season” for sure…but the time i had then during “normal time” (roughly 6/7 months a year) would allow for many more WT events (if it existed at the time :)
Guess it depends on situation…but no wife, no kids, no work, no family events makes for A LOT of free time that one can either spend on games or social…i recall completing several games on those times…and still find social and study time…i miss that sometimes :)

Yeah, and since some time i am working and have a GF, so there really isnt any time for me. Tho i suppose a perk of work is money (relative), which i could use to buy an event vehicle IF i really wanted to. Tho in terms of GE, the Wiki Articles give enought.
Its cheaper to buy vehicle on market after event than GE the stars. Cause 8-9 stars is still 10k GE you gotta buy so thats 49.5€. Meanwhile after event most will be selling around 25 GJN before going either up or down. so you save nearly 25€ by buying it from market if you dont wanna do the event.
Yes, i am pointing out why OP think events are too hard, when for average player they take 2-3h a day max. And if you cant find 2-3h of playtime within 2 days every star runs, then you shouldnt have right to complain about events as its on you again. They wont make events that are done in 10-30 min just because you dont have time.
I think any active person misses the golden age where they had plenty time to do what they wanted… I also do sometimes

They arent. Crafting events in the past were hard,i agree there, but those 35-45k score ones arent. Were the old cap 10,kill 6 in one game,kill 50 enemies or w/e the previous stars faster? Yes. But still current events arent hard. Only thing that sucks now is the plane used in GRB doesnt count for air event score but only for ground, as in the past it counted for air.
Get the Mirage IIIC asap. Takes an average of 2-2.5hr to get a 35k score stage
Yeah because they changed the criterium from vehicle type to gamemode played.
War Thunder events are unfriendly for anybody with any kind of real life responsibilities.
Unfortunately, any event of this sort would still be impossible for a lot of people.
They are meant to keep people engaged and reward those who can afford to play more.
If you can’t free more time today, maybe in the future you will.
I guess it depends on what kind of job. I started working remotely in an IT job after covid started and my managers are cool with it. The current event system is very unfriendly to people who have to travel to their offices for a standard 8 or 9 hours.
The old tasks systems was much, much easier. I used to play nothing but air arcade when I first started and I could knock out a star with 3 tasks in less than two hours.
The rewards are becoming less appealing too. There’s no way the current EFV is worth 35,000 points per star. I wouldn’t even grind it for half of that when TT options like the XM800T and even the M3 Bradley are much better. The whole traveling on water is nothing more than a gimmick and I’m not throwing away hours of my life for that

Yeah I’m grinding for it, but I’m not there yet. By the way what do these event points even represent, are they total raw score from games? Or something else
They are the total score you get after the battle is finished multiplied by a number that depends on the mode (arcade, realistic…) and the rank of the vehicle you play. The higher the rank the better the multiplier.
