Please, let’s reduce the text size on nameplates. It looks so damn crap now. Just make it so that one can choose the font, size, transparency and size. It looks like a game from 2008 only because the nameplates on all the planes are so freaking big and ugly. Shame to ruin the game’s graphics with this.
You might try changing up what shows in your names. I only show vehicle type and distance for mine. All I really need to know. Names tend to clutter up a good deal of the screen for the most part and I did it mainly on advice for another player so as to reduce the urge for “Revenge” . . . it worked like a charm. No silly skull icon and I don’t feel that urge anymore(I mean if you really wanna know who it is, not that hard to figure out) and it allows me to concentrate more on the game and really kills a great deal of “ill will” one might get when you get killed.
All in all . . I call it a win - win . . . try it out, you can always change it back. Also you can adjust “font size” to a degree as well. Play with it some, see if you can find something suitable that works for you . . . we all play differently.

I’ve done exactly that because it looks like crap otherwise. It just looks like a big blob with flying texts otherwise. Not that immersive exactly :) It shouldn’t be hard at all for the slug to add a setting to change how name plates look. You can change the color already. It would also be good to be able to choose at which distances certain information is visible.
Think they should update how the user interface looks and give us a little more options. It is something that has really been neglected.
This and that they could add enduring confrontation in real battles and what we now have in real battles in the simulator as an alternative.
