I don’t expect heavies to play like heavies but getting lolpenned every time and APHE-nuked is not fun. I don’t expect heavies to be a boss tank and walks through the whole enemy team but maybe I don’t have a m18 go through the upper front plate of my t1e1 from 1000m away and kill me. I mean I expect heavy tanks to tank shots, not just get lolpen every time. (sure I lolpen tigers that don’t angle but I can’t pen them when they angle bu they can pen me when I angle)
You do realise the T1E1 has relatively bad armour for a heavy?
t1e1 just has bad armor, dont worry you’ll get a real heavy tank soon enough
T1E1 is famously big and lightly armoured, a lot of the weight goes to that massive engine.
The m4a3e2 jumbo will have you feeling like a heavy, as will the T26e5 and T34. T32 maybe, your milage may vary
then How should I play it?
Like a medium tank with bad mobility.
How to deal with tiger then?
Well… If the T1E1 is the one with the 90mm gun, just aim for the hull, center mass between the driver’s port and mg port, or the corner of the hull right to the driver’s port, their is a primary ammo stowage. Avoir the turret as it is a bit random with volumetric but if you have no other choice aim for the cuploa (easy with H1, a bit hard but managable with E)
I mean if its angled :) sorry if I seem dumb
In that case, it is probably best to not engage.
But it was camping in front of my spawn
Should of used the other spawn.
Sounds like the match was basically over if he was just sitting in your spawn.
In that case aim for the closest corner of the hull, the US 90mm should still have enought power to go through the armor. And keep in mind that the armor plate behind the tracks is only 63mm thick so if he over angles you can kill him that way.
It’s classified as a heavy based on the gun and weight. Unlike the Germans, who did it based on Armor and the gun.
oh thank you! can you also tell me how to deal with a panther D that doesn’t expose his upper front plate?
i don’t think you can actually frontally pen a panther through its upper front plate… i always shoot the turret corners personally
I meant lower front plate sorry
Yes the US 90mm can’t go through panther upf (exept for the vk 30.01) but the turret is a the way to go, but it is quite the volumetric hell sometimes.
And the side is paper thin si their is that way to
The panther was sitting next to a house and a hill
