Visual model changes should be the bare minimum for “copy-paste” vehicles in warthunder. The reuse of assets makes sense in this matter, but when you can point out obvious visual cues that are directly yoinked from an existing vehicle in game, then the accusation of copy and pasting comes in full force (which it is).
I’d honestly be more annoyed towards the Thai SB2C, now that’s purely copy paste (and unnecessary).

Which they haven’t done here, the turret itself is still the same underneath the face canvas. all changed parts are purely ad-on cosmetic stuff (in the context of the game). they might as well have been decorations i put there myself using the customization in-game. Compare to the chair, removing the head rest changes the function, adding cat-ears to it doesn’t.
Anything changed that doesn’t change armor values or the over all base shape is just cosmetic changes. It’s like copying someone’s homework but changing the font and adding color to the title. it looks different but that doesn’t change the main important core of it.
Copy paste is context based, it highly depends on what you change about the original if it is to be considered copied or not after changes.
Also, one could even argue that if they copy over a vehicle at all then the entire process first step is to use the Copy+Paste commands, thus making the vehicle copy paste based or of copy paste origin (i personally don’t agree with this description, but that doesn’t make it any less valid as an argument).

If somebody wants to inform himself about the topic “Warbonds for…” he will get lost in your exchanges about turrets / c+p, etc.
This looks like a classic “Don Quixote vs windmills” situation - the only difference is that multiple Don Quixotes try to fight a single windmill and that loss of the correct perception of reality shifted from the self-declared knight to the windmill.
But trying to fight such a windmill is pointless as long as the windmill is just ignoring rationale arguments. And even if you are able to disprove certain arguments - they will be ignored and the goalposts will be changed.
Therefore you won’t change anything with debating such a windmill - just a waste of energy & time. From my pov you guys are way too smart for being trolled, but it looks like that you fell into a trap…

Battlepasses in games - compagnies getting greedy
(This not only WT, but every other games with such things)
But even in the BP games, there is 2 kind:
- those admired for the enjoyable content (Riot does this pretty well, mainly for Valorant)
- those completely attired by money (Gaijin, with prizes not even worth the time we pass on the game)
→ in resume,… a Good BP is one that Community likes, and don’t suffer Post-traumatic-sequels from.
Now in all honesty, i never tried BP in WT, as i knew since day one that it wasn’t worth it.

Please take note of how NOBODY is interested in this BP. I’ve yet to see more than 3 people considering buying this. If you want to make money, make this worth our time. Add unique and new vehicles, not lazy copy pastes.

This is the first battlepass in 2 years I will not bother to participate in at all. This is about as bad as you could have possibly made it. To be specific, the low tier vehicle box only contains 1 vehicle, which is a ship and I hate naval combat completely AND I already have it AND instead of giving me some GE back for already having it you give me a WAGER which I also hate. The plane is boring and only enhances a lineup that almost no one would play anyhow because 3.7 Japan is already just a worse 3.7 US. The tank is boring because again it’s just Americanizing a BR no one plays in France and you could just play the far superior 7.0 US and get basically the same tanks already without paying real money.
It’s so completely useless… this is literally taking money and giving nothing in return.

the rest is useless
I was grinding the last BP to get some bush decorations to improve my tanks camoflage, only to realize after almost the entire december of grinding you only get one random bush if you make it to level 57.
What I am trying to say is that the rewards are not in relation for the time you need to spend grinding to get them. If I wouldn’t had have almost 4 weeks vacation I would never could made to level 57, because of the very specific conditions to complete the daily tasks. That often takes multiple matches because of the amount kills, etc or the low chanches to archive them, even after rerolling the task. I my opinion it takes to much time if you are working a full time job.
And for some reason you need a rank 2 (most times rank 3) vehicles and I don’t understand why. Is there any particular reason to gatekeep new players?
Every other battle pass in other games I played so far works with a xp progress. Why not here in WarThunder? Why don’t let very performance count to progress in the battle pass?

Well guys, despite your heated discussion and all, I bought the battlepass!
All store premiums are rank 2? I don’t care, I own them all anyway.
And since I want to keep the He177, the pass is free to have. Or rather just 200 WB.
What I would really like to see is a rank V heli talisman. That I would gladly take. Can’t be so hard to program it.
(Note: you could get an air talisman rank V on a heli, so I was told.)
