Gaijin wants quick queue times. It’s their secret sauce. Match design is conformed to keep it peppy. But it’s the proper balance between short wait times and the dynamic game play of lengthier matches that they seem to struggle with.
Here’s a secret trick to getting longer matches Gaijin doesn’t want you to know: Don’t play above 9.0
the gameplay would be longer if it was like Sim battles
People can always do what I come across every other game.
If the pace is too fast, just sit back pot shotting like all the others that can’t handle the pace and can’t handle being shot at.
Yes, you last longer, but you will never ever win. Sit back pot shotting teams NEVER win and ALWAYS end up getting spawn killed and base raped - but hey… you will last longer.
Being on sit back pot shotting loser teams is what causes me to one death leave so much. No point playing the match if no one is going to try to win. 1 or 2 players can’t win the game on their own.
No but I don’t enjoy top tier at all. I unlock them now and never play them. Around 9.7 is as high as I like to go.
Ngl, this sounds like it comes from someone that yells at me because im not holding W to rush a contested cap point in my flak 88.
With how simplified tank controls are there’s naturally people who are going to be faster no matter how things are balanced. It’s like people complaining about others being sweaty in FPS games nowadays. Like what does that even mean? As with anything where you can get good with practice, it will be difficult for some people to play at a given level and it will be effortless for others because of talent/time investment/ etc.
When you get 2KD in one match and the SBMM puts you into the International E-Sports finals… its not fun and very frustrating for regular people
No one said anything about rushing a Cap. That’s idiotic.
Instead of sitting back pot shotting and causing teams to lose, what is wrong with players taking a shot, then repositioning closer??? When the enemy have fired, why can’t players move to closer cover while the enemy are reloading. You don’t just rush the zone, you rush as close as possible to the zone to the nearest “safe cover”, then use " then use “tacticts” to close in on the zone and then take it, whether its done by flanking and surrounding the enemy at the zone or an invasion of at least half a dozen team members storming the zone all at once. It’s not complicated rocket science or physics for god sake. K/D on its own has never ever won a game. It’s the players that have the balls to actually take the zones that win the game, not the cowards who will never ever win without attackers on their team.
You can finish a match with 10 kills and no zones taken, but if no one takes the zones to actually win, all that happens is you become the best of the team but you are also the number one, BEST LOSER.
Good players can kill AND take zones. It’s the crap players that can only sit back pot shotting ready to hide under a rock as soon as they are shot at. But hey - you last longer in the game.
Why was this post hidden??? Will people stop enforcing censorship on people.
Most maps do not allow for this. Unless you have a fast tank, you cannot move in the 8 secs it takes for them to reload, assuming it is only one enemy.
If you want to brawl towards the cap, go ahead. Not every vehicle is made to do that.
I play by preventing flankers and cutting off reinforcements so that others can get to the caps without having to push against entrenched enemies. If a cap in viable to get on, i will. However, i put a higher priority on making sure that my team isnt getting steamrolled/flanked.
Some pot shotters, I will admit can be very usefull to the team but… they are very few and far between. The very small handfull of usefull, effective pot shotters I have come across, actually position themselves in sight of the zone where they can take out enemy that are advancing. Then after they have fired, they reposition so they cannot be homed in on by the enemy. I then class them and refer to them as snipers and not pot shotters.
Sadly, the vast, huge majority of pot shotters don’t even have the zone or team mates in sight, they help no one at all and are a drain on the team and cause them to lose. When they shoot and give their position away, they don’t even move so players like me can home in on them and kill them. If you want to sit back pot shotting, at least get into a position that can help the team and not just yourselves. In a war, REAL snipers and tank snipers do what is called “shoot and scoot”. They all know very well that when their position is given away, THEY are now the target, so they move to another place the enemy can’t see them. It’s called tactics. A sniper or shooter that does not move after firing normally ends up dead 30 - 60 seconds later.
As an example, lets take my favourite “Saving Private Ryan”. When the squad got pinned down by a sniper in the French town and took out a very young Vin Diesel, the sniper didn’t reposition and just stayed there. The next thing that happened was a very dead German sniper with a massive hole in his head where his eye used to be. Does anyone remember “Enemy At The Gates” with Jude Law, Ed Harris and Ron Pearlman (Hell Boy)? Very good film. The film was about a group of Russian snipers against the Nazi invasion. They got it right - shoot and scoot - fire and reposition.
SHOOT AND SCOOT.
I think we can both agree that both tactics have those that dont do it correctly. You have those that rush caps and those that rush some meme spot or try to camp spawn.
Yes, we can agree. By the way you are talking, it sounds like you might have been one of the very few I have come across who actually help with your sniping, but like I said, players like you are very few and far between. Effective snipers help, idiot snipers don’t help at all.
Most pot shotters have no idea what they are doing.
I dont doubt that there are a lot of player who have near zero situational awareness. I see people sitting in some corner trying to camp spawn and people who somehow dont realize that the friendly exploding next to them means “You are in danger”.
You are so, so right there LOL, and they still don’t move.
Why was my post hidden???
The player I was talking to markimash, if people bother to read the follow up messages between us both, will see that there was a bit of a crossed line, but as we talked, we found we were both the type of players we like playing with, and I complimented him for his actually usefull game play…
…and in the end, we agreed with each other, he made a reply and I even agreed, chuckled with him, and liked his last post. There is no problem. If people had cencored my post or his without us seeing them ourselves, we would have carried on with a crossed message and never would have agreed and then had a chuckle about it. THERE IS NO PROBLEM.
You are so, so right there LOL, and they still don’t move.
PLEASE WILL PEOPLE READ THE FOLLOW UP MESSAGES BEFORE THEY GET UP ON THEIR, SUPERIORITY COMPLEX, ROYAL MAJESTY HIGH HORSES AND STUPIDLY START FLAGGING POSTS AND FORCING CENSORSHIP ON OTHERS, just because they didn’t like it. It’s linked with being Woke and Emotionally Weak, and thinking they are better than others. What some people like, others DON’T. What some people don’t like, others DO. No one has the right to FORCE their own agenda, ideas or philosophy on anyone else.
That’s dictatorialism.
There is a big difference between forcing an idea/philosophy and with trying to give advice… and people need to STOP reading with a nasty, shouty voice in their head and chill. There’s no need for it. Not every player is childish, and not every player is filled with hate that they have to read everything by shouting and being nasty. I never read his posts with a shouty voice. Sometimes, with the more mature players like me and markimash, we can TALK, and sometimes actually agree with each other, which logic dictates would never have happened if either of us took that attitude.
Yeah. It is crazy how trigger happy some people are with the flagging. I felt like our conversation was exactly how disagreements should work.
We disagree, list our reasonings, agrue against the other’s point, then find common ground.
Well said.
I also find the game a little too fast but that’s always going to be the case since we’re playing vehicles without their real world limitations, without the fear of death and of course the design of maps and gamemodes. It’s something I’ve come to terms with.
Simulator mode will get you somewhat slower games as you won’t have as much third person advantage, no 3D hud elements helping you etc. but there’s only so much you can do.
