I absolutely agree with that! But i still want to keep WW1 vehicles in other era’s, i particularly enjoy the challenge of using ww1 tanks against more modern vehicles, i’ve killed a T-34 with the 2C and it’s such a satisfying feeling lol.

Event vehicles get a tag in their unit card marking the event in which they were earned.
All of them get them except these.

Why don’t the WW1 Vehicles count as Event Vehicles!?

Because they don’t want rank 1 vehicles being able to farm points for events, it’s my best guess. Although, good luck trying to get a single kill in a tank that can barely do 5 km/h…
They should be given “Event” status anyway, it’s not like people are going to abuse them for mission points during events, these vehicles simply can’t do much outside the event they were in.
They even call them EVENT VEHICLE.
There are Event vehicles of 1.0 BR you can use.
I guess not then, I have no idea why would they not classify them as event vehicles if we already have rank 1 event vehicles in the game…

Yeah so 10 months later and as predicted Aces of Thunder fell flat on its face. The only good thing about that game is the WW1 but I’m guessing it’s going to be left to rot there. Just add them + WW1 in general to War Thunder instead.
Like i agree, why not, make ww1 something that players that finished researching rank 1 on certain nation, can go back and research, (or something like that) that adds a whole ton of content, and space for plenty of new vehicles for ground, air and what ever, it’s amazing.
I don’t see a reason not to do it, because there isn’t one…

Well its probably time to say that the Great War event was the best event ever, imho. From all grind and fun events in all those years…just great. Despite the horribad flight models :)
Still waiting the unlocked event units to get event vehicle status. They deserved it.
Since this mainly land event was very nice, maybe it can be repeated for naval and air.
WW1 saw alot engagements between Royal Navy, Tzarist/Bolshevik Russian Navy and German High Seas Fleet. Pacific, South Atlantic, North Sea, Baltics, Mediterranean, Black Sea. Also first really large amphibious operations in the Baltics and Mediterranean.
Air is self explanatory. Great War always comes along with its dogfights and aces. As well as iconic planes. Wounder why this hasn’t been exploited yet. Make an event with Richthofen’s Triplane as main prize and see WT servers explode.
so… now that aces of thunder proved to be a flop can we get the ww1 planes in WT?

This mode should be brought back for real, and this time let us have the Fokker, the zeppelin and add some new stuff like the FT-17 and St. Chamond 120mm.
(fun fact, St. Chamond 120mm actually got passed to devs, that surely means the mode is coming back right? cope)
Italy has the fiat 2000 armed with a 65 mm cannon and Schneider CA for France armed with a 75 mm cannon are also on my wishlist.
you don’t even need AP rounds, armor is pretty thin that he rounds are just as viable.
prototypes like FCM 1A are also on the table.
