War Thunder "Sky Odyssey" - Changelog

I don’t have anything with AIM-7Ps myself, but I get killed by them a lot more than by AMRAAMs or R-77s, so I feel like those are a huge plus for the Hornets

Gaijin find it impossible to not ruin what is a really really straightforward thing to get an easy win out of

Deselect classic ARB?

Both the T18B and PBM-3 “Mariner” are still using the old damage model.
It were highlighted while the dev server was still open, that they were still using the old damage model, in the dev server section of the forum.

Well here you go, now you also have them as bug reports:

Can the CMs provide any comments on the devs’ thoughts regarding the Naval component of Nuclear Escalation?

More and more people are growing frustrated due to the fact that the rewards are extremely low and it has little to no match impact. We have been pointing this out since the first couple of test iterations of Nuclear Escalation.

Additionally, SAM site tracking radars seem to be respawning. See: Meet Nuclear Escalation: Vietnam! - #940 by Piment1

@Smin1080p_WT

Since the thread i asked in before is closed. How come all gripens have had their agility nerfed in the update yet nothing about it is stated in the changelog? is it a bug or is it intentional? Would love to get some insight in to this.

Or if any other community manager wants to answer. I only really know of overworked smin since thats who everyone else tags

Bombers are fun now thank you great snail :)

love the bomber changes, maybe a bit overtuned but very much in the right direction, permanent nuke thunder is AMAZING

but the F-102… it’s just not implemented right, the devs really need to take another look at the engine and missiles, the early falcons are not plainly inferior!

I feel like bombers are pretty well tuned against guns. HE doesnt do much so it encourages belts with API and APHE or SAPHE and means big gun interceptors can actually be really good at their job. With API or APHE and good aim it isnt too much longer time on target compared to before.

missiles and anti bomber rockets tho they are quite overtuned against

still happening, it will drag you into classic ARB even though you’ve disabled it and enable nuclear escalation and/or bullet hell

a guaranteed join in is thru enabling “join already started battles” but not all of us want matches that already halfway or almost ending

can you guys make those options mandatory choice instead of a “suggestion” like those smaller lobby option

Can’t wait for a new wave of “F-16 should be 12.0!” and “F-14B should be 12.7!”

Big gun interceptors shouldn’t be the only things capable of feasibly intercepting bombers. IRL the purpose of big guns (stuff like the 50mm Me 410s) was more to outrange gunners than actually be able to deal damage. Something equipped with only 20mm could take out a bomber, but would have to put itself in much more danger to do so.

From my testing, anything explosive is nerfed pretty substantially against bombers. This includes APHE rounds.

Then you have stuff like the Mk 108 which got a new SAPHEI round which is frankly completely useless. It has barely any kinetic pen to speak of and just deals less explosive damage.

Unironically the better guns for this are stuff like US .50 cals which have no explosive rounds.

right, asking since im not sure its me problem or something did change in settings

right now, when i open map in airbattles and i want to zoom in or out, the game treats it as if im pressing “attention to the map” which is usually bound to left click.

anyone got the same issue?

P.S.: I cant find how is the setting for “attention to the map” called so i cant check whenever game just decided to bind mouse wheel scroll to it as well.

I’m excited to try Tu-95M again in air battles. Bombers must provail in air battles, hopefully this change doesn’t turn out to be a snowball on lower tier battles where bombers could take more hits because of low caliber guns being most popular in airplanes at this battle rating.

I’m wondering how much is T58 taking advantage of this change. Is it good? Is it bad. M103 had a 12-year old model, hopefully this makes both vehicles easier to deal with, however I’m afraid that this change made them more armored, I heard about a report regarding M103’s nose being too thin in-game.

The Midmashina might not be so mid at the end of the day. Hopefully this make the vehicle more popular and enjoyable to play since it has stupidly low mobility compared to other high tier main battle tanks.

Yeah you are right. my testing had been mostly with larger APHE rounds and with smaller guns my belts had mostly had API. Tested with the mg 151 aphe and it really didnt do much. So yeah that needs to be tweaked too.

20mm with API works wonders vs bombers tho.

But yeah, tweaking definitively needed. api/ap-t(with larger guns) with good aim from .50 cal+ is the trick to deal with bombers reliably for now

same here since at least 2 updates ago

A bunch of corrections were made, like 3,7 cm BK 3,7 Pzgr.18 APHE and 3 and 3,7 cm M-Pzgr. and some other nice additions.

buuh… but… look at all the pictures of bombers that came back with damage! Surely because there’s more pictures of bombers that survived heavy damage than there are pictures of bombers shot down it means bombers can survive anything, right? This isn’t a famous example of a biased dataset or anything, surely!

Oh it will still be mid, since it doesn’t fix any of the major issues with the T-90M.
