It just shows they’re back to their old ways and their intentions of connecting with the player base was a lie.
we have to pray for christmas
I bought 2S38 and was waiting for a discount on T72 Turm, but Gaijin smelled like Sheeetttt, as usual, they act only based on their interests and don’t care about the opinion of the players.
they lied us so idk
To all my fellow Warthunderers… I have been part of this game since launch in 2013. Please understand that Gaijin controls sales by supply and demand. If there are high demand vehicles or items, the odds of a sale for these are slim. Why? Economics and the way supply and demand works. These vehicles are extremely sought after and many people will pay the $70 price tag to obtain them. So why would they be 50% off? I don’t fault Gaijin because they need the money to continue supporting the game. They are a business after all! Please respect the company as they are doing great things. I have seen multiply large-scale updates recently including BR changes, new vehicles, and new maps. On top of the new content, they have also included their most popular anniversary sale which I thought was okay. I really enjoy the 50% talismans and silver lions purchasing of vehicles. I see so much hate from people on this forum but I have to assume its from underage kids throwing a temper tantrum because they have no access to funds besides their parents’ money. I get it! Just stay posted on the site and look out for other promos and specials. Gaijin typically has a special or sale every 2 – 3 months. I want to take the time to say thank you Gaijin for supporting the community and continuously improving the game. To the gaming community, I understand both sides of the story but just remember, without Gaijin there is no Warthunder and without Warthunder you wouldn’t have a place to complain. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing but what I am saying is you are playing this game, you enjoy this game because you took the time to complain. Just complain in a constructive way, not a toxic disrespectful way and I am sure Gaijin will see your sides more clearly. Good luck everyone sorry for the bashing but just wanted to highlight a few points about this discussion. Take care.
during the other sales you guys better put the good ones on 50% off
stop whining
If you can’t afford to buy at full price, you wait or buy when they are available. Most people don’t give a shit about your wish concert
flag post nothing change, kiddo find way to hide not popular opinion oh no. no no no
Absolutely, those crying kids nowadays
I think one of the biggest reason of people being upset, is because the packs are absurdly overprice to begin with.
We accept paying half price of them, which is still a high price for what you get.
But if we want multiple packs of vehicle that might just give us unique experiences(like a kfir on a lower battle rating) paying full price is just insane…
If packs were decent price from the start, its a whatever I can buy one once a while… Now its extremely hard to justify for most.
“40” 9 of these are worthless starter packs, so the actual real offer is 31
Lol, in other games people pay even more just for some ugly weapon skins, so what’s the problem? Nobody forces you to buy it.
Currently, worldwide economies are slowing from high inflation. All countries have had to increase prices including game developers. I remember when the GE vehicles where significantly cheaper but they doubled the price so when they go on sale they where still making out good money. Its not Gaijin’s fault prices have increased around the world. I totally agree with the lower BR ratings being more rewardable though. I enjoy playing lower BR more then high BR any day.
Popular, how many thousands of players are posting here? It’s only a small amount of loud cry babies what I’m seeing here
Yes, according to supply and demand, but if you look here, you can see that people who want and have the means will buy it immediately after the launch, but people eg: students have little money to buy a top tier machine for 60-70 euros so that they don’t spend 24 hours a day in the game to get them, if you take it, then they are pixels and to pay such an amount for it is a lot, and secondly, if you pay attention, now the matches are not worth much, every player who bought the wolf pack/2s38 assumed it would all be on sale like it was last years he could have a build and now he can just watch unfortunately it’s not worth playing ground battle now your whole team will leave within 10 minutes and i don’t think I think war thunder has little money, yes, I like this game and I want to support it financially, too much is too much, how long did it take them to adjust the economy and they fixed it probably only because of bad ratings on the platforms and the decline of the player, which logically means a decrease in sales, and I don’t understand from their point of view they could make 5x more if they sold it for half because a lot more people would have bought it, I don’t understand why they didn’t report it, it was seen as a tradition and suddenly they did this, I think it was because we were demonstrating because of the economy, but it’s probably a stupid idea, but in no way does it make sense economically or community-wise, or how they went directly against the players with this decision.
sorry for my english
For the “biggest pack sale of the year” this years sale is pretty pathetic. :'(
Whoever made the conditions of the sale needs a swift kick in the rear.
Why would anyone think this is a good sale? Of course all the stuff people REALLY wanted went up in price earlier in the year and now aren’t on sale. GREAT JOB gaijin staff.
I agree $70 is too much for a vehicle. I personally think $50 is a sweet spot for purchases but again, economies all around the world are not doing great. I also believe if people stopped purchasing the higher priced items, Gaijin would have to entice the community to purchase the vehicles. One example of this is the amount of China and Japan vehicle sales I noticed in this sale. I dont see a lot of people playing these countries and so they placed multiple sales on these vehicles. Most people play USA, German, Russia ground and if you look at the sale, it reflects this idea. Honestly, the premium vehicles are great because of the double RP and SL aspect but the vehicles themselves are not great and other vehicles similar to their class can be purchased within the tiers by grinding. As far as purchasing the high demand items, if Gaijin posted a sale on these very high demand vehicles then it would saturate the market and decrease the demand significantly. Since Gaijin knows what vehicles sale better from statistical analysis, they wouldnt be willing to do this since people are still willing to purchase them anyway for $70. This affects the people with lower incomes children, college students etc but as long as people continue to purchase these high ticket items at retail you probably wont see many sales on them. When demand is high prices rise and demand is low prices fall. If they put the big ticket items on sale, demand would take a serious hit along with Gaijins profits. This would negatively affect profit margins, growth and long term support for the game. They know what they are doing and I dont fault them for putting their business’ first.
You are not wrong in that other games do sell weapon skins for obscene prices.
But these aren’t skins people are wanting to purchase. Gaijin is not selling you skins for your vehicles. These are all premium vehicles that help with the still horrendous grind that is War Thunder. They are without a doubt a “pay-for-convenience” mechanic. And a wildly over-priced one at that.
So yes, it is well within understanding that, by Gaijin’s own hype of this being “the most important/biggest sale of the year” doesn’t include vehicles that 1) people want to spend money on and 2) were part of the last anniversary sale (with the obvious exception of newer vehicles that meet the “older than two patches”).
There’s no reason for the F-5C, A-10A, Turms, and the other older packs to be excluded in this sale. And the response given by Gaijin has been both objectively incorrect and frankly quite lackluster.
is mig23ml going to be on sale?
If I understand correctly, you are saying that if it costs more, they will make more? I don’t think so if you look here it’s about 10% which agrees with Gajin that means most people don’t buy the machines out of protest or because they cost a lot so this will probably be the worst earnings in years when let’s face it, even the summer sale was for nothing, and what annoys me the most is that they didn’t announce anything, if they had at least announced it, I was looking forward to the start of the Americans, because I would like to research Abrams as soon as possible and not spend 1000 hours researching him. I don’t enjoy the battles at all now, they usually end in no time due to the fact that you have room for like 16 allies, you could say you only have like 5 allies because the rest only have 1 machine
