Sinai, Alamein are good maps, they have variety for actual modern tank on tank combat at somewhat high ranges, and you can also choose to have CQC, city maps like breslau, sweden and rhine just dont fit.
Arctic is horrible because you cannot evade getting sniped from across the entire map whatever you do, there can be someone literally killing themselves just to shoot you from across the map, however you can avoid this in sinai and alamein.
it cannot just be me that this game only has 3-4 good maps that almost never appear (even if i have them liked, the disliked maps appear more)
Dislikes somewhat reduce your probability of seeing a map, Likes are a purely feedback thing, they don’t do anything to the odds of you getting a map.
A better solution rather than hoping that Gaijin cooks another Maginot would be to give us an optional map filter, where instead of picking a limited number of maps where you don’t want to play, you pick maps where you do want to play, and the MM puts you in a match on one of these.
That way, if you don’t like what the majority does, you don’t have to suffer their tastes anyway, and you’ll get longer queues but you’ll get matches you actually enjoy.
People that have no preference, or can’t stand longer queues won’t have to engage with it, and won’t be affected.
but the likelyhood of this getting added is only probable in about a couple years.
so until then i guess i will have to play surroundings of volokolamsk every 2 games
I’d have to get around to making a proper suggestion, Gaijin has no issue with the current system.
Personally I do like Large Volo, but I wish we got a version from another season cause depending on the conditions it can be like staring at a flashbang.
