This is exactly the problem. In actual combat, it’s difficult for the J-10 to even reach Mach 1.5, while it’s not a significant challenge for other aircraft at a 14.3 Battle Rating (except 18E).
even besides that, it’s a very minute increase so basically negligible, because in addition to the extra empty weight you also carry belly rack PL-12s which further make it bad
