I have a job, and aced crews. I share some of the criticism of the mechanic, mind you, but it’s the sort of thing that’s only really a problem if you play the way Gaijin intends, stuck in a never ending grind loop of new vehicles - stock to spaded - crew etc etc. Like Dodo was saying, they monetise player frustration by directing it outward. If you just play to have fun, I find crews aren’t that big an obstacle.

I play to have fun.

My 109 crew is aced.

But I want an fw 190 crew too so I can field a proper line-up. In fact, I want my german tree to have a 109, a 190 (fighter), a 190 (attacker).

I want my italian tree to have a g.55/56, c202/c205, Re 2002/2005, an attacker and a premium 109 F-4
I want my japanese tree to have a Ki-61, a zero, a j2m2, some random bomber

Each of those slots is a separate 25/50 hour grind on their own before I’m able to do the same things my 109 F-4/F4U-4/P-51C can do.

It’s a massive difference if I can respond aggressively to an enemy fighter and keep pressure on them in a descending spiral or able to reverse them through scissors versus… blacking out from pulling 6Gs a few seconds too long (while my 109 F-4/P-51C/F4U-4 can pull 6Gs forever)

You can earn GJN and buy GE - still P2P not P2W.

u don’t even need GJN Coins to buy GE, u can get Golden Eagles with many methods that even console(?) players can use.

You mean the Competition in the forum or Free GE app?
If so, yes those work also for console

as i heard, that Free GE app is a complete scam.

1. weekly reward, u can get 200 GE iirc with a lot of luck
2. Competition, u can chat with people, watch beautiful screenshots and win prices, all in the same package!
3. tournaments, u can also chat with people, train daily with them and fight against people who actually want to coordinate and not just farm kills to progress.
4. content creation, a hard method but that can be very reliable if u do very good on it, and u can win more than just GE by doing it.
5. Wiki author program, another hard method but that can be very reliable and even funny to do since u’re basically talking about something u like (or even love, long live the Flankers! that’s my name!!!) and people can give their opinion about ur article which feels heartwarming sometimes. ;)

idk if there’s more methods, i believe there’s way more but i don’t remember which ones.

I have an aced 109 F-4.

It does not change the fact that player A flying the 109 F-4 should perform as well as player B flying the 109 F-4 provided they have the same knowledge and skills.
