War Thunder is pay to win

My man thats just bad rewards in SIM not P2W nothing… Im playing Air Realistic just because I know how painfully long would grind be in SIM…when I reasearch few more nations Air and ground I wil just play SIM.

Again you rpoblem is not with P2W its just bad rewards in SIM. Thats why I dont use premiums to kill enemy players but to firstly and strictly destroy one base since I get so much more RP.

Does not change the fact that it’s 29 hours of grind per each slot per each nation even as a paying, premium-account holding customer.

It’s 29 hours in the ideal case too.

Why use sim rewards? Because they’re consistent. You don’t have match length, skill bonus or anything else interfering and muddying the data - we know the maximum you can earn in an ideal scenario. Made assumption of 600 score rather than 1050 purely for consistency (get 1 kill and afk is easier than 2 kill and afk), but even at 1050 (maximum reward) it’s maybe 2-3 hours less (86% versus 92%)

It’s indefensible in this argument as we’re now talking about a premium account owner, so can’t go “cheapskates deserve to suffer.”

Would like to be able to use crp for bushes and camo schemes. Especially those camouflage schemes locked behind GE.

It’s ok if you’re not able to understand illustrative examples.

No, it’s really not. Look at Fortnite and their current lawsuit. All games that focus cosmetics turn into jokes.

I mean grinding in this game is ridiculously long again if you really want to preform same in USA plane thats aced then just ace that other plan, I mean I also agree having to ace evry single plane sepratly is bad. But it is what it is…we can complain about that, but to say its P2W…naaah… I can ace any plane RN get into SIM and have my ass handed to me by people not having aced crews. Its pure player SKILL if you know your crew is not aced dont fly plane same as its aced. Same as how planes suck when they are stock…

Dawg, not even close, you think gaijin is making more money than Nintendo, Bandai, Microsoft, EA, Sony, Tencent, hell, even game-stop.

They made 22 million, a majority goes to servers and development, paying employees, and office rent, that’s ignoring taxes.

You really must not know what it takes to own a business, company, or studio, do you?

I guess CS is falling apart as they’re offering cosmetics only.

Counterstrike is different, utterly and completely, as it’s been around for almost 25 years, and has had players the entirety of its life, who grew up on it. It’s also a valve game, all hail king Gaben.

CS not having predatory mechanics surely is a reason why the game is still here after 20+ years.

Rocket League is yet another game that saw great success while focusing on cosmetics only. Their eSports prize pools were in six digit ranges almost from the start, while Thunder CUP has the 5k prize pool.

They did, they can be earned in the War Bond Shop. Besides any tank with Bushes on them is alive and needs to be shot or bombed. ;)

@a_00 Yourself?
Cause being a critic in my case doesn’t make me a white knight, unless white knight to you means critics.

Question, for my understanding. I never have aircrafts with more than 1 crew. So for aircrafts I never invest any XP for the defensive armament. all goes into pilot and maintenance.

Does the defensive armament affect my plane/pilot in any way if its not trained?

No, but Indirectly yes - mainly when your gunner reload time (“maintenance”) is too long and you have to reload at the most inconvenient time.

So imho the most decisive crew XP for defensive armament is the gunner reload time - at least for Air RB.

Having reload times of 10 seconds can decide between life or death. 10 seconds from initial 40 seconds for a level 75 crew in an aced aircraft is a game changer in certain aircraft like in my B-18 B. If you fly with a Hotas and with “auto pilot off in gunner view” you can even roll and fly inverted to use the other turret until the first one has reloaded.

The XP for defensive armament are imho borderline useless as they just shine when it is too late, meaning that your attacker came into his effective gun range. But technically seen they are not really effective.

There is still this hoax that auto gunners would open fire at 0.21 km distance - this is imho flat wrong even as mentioned in the stat card. The “real” value is 0,66 km - and it depends on which way the barrels are pointing at.

So if you attack a B-25 from 12 o’ clock high the barrels of the upper turret are pointing backwards - it take too much time to turn 180° degrees. If you perform a dive attack from 6 o’clock high the barrels show already towards you, so chances to get hit by auto gunners increase significantly and depend on your excess speed. That is also the reason why a hell of bombers with bot scripts had thousands of losses but depending on the plane also hundreds of kills.

The only exception from this rule are the few actually skilled P-61 pilots with level 75 crews and aced planes. They are using the imho way too fast turret rotation and the very effective auto gunner in an offensive role whilst scissoring with enemy fighters. Every few hundred matches you meet on one them. That’s why i always check stat cards before i attack a P-61 :-)

If I don’t have a gunner, because all I fly are single seater, then the XP is useless.

We should make bushes earn-able like decals. Like 100 kills for 1 bush or something.
