War Thunder is Going to die in 2-4 Years

If those naval missions are failing like they did a while back, I’d be absolute behind fixing that ‘no starter’ situation.

But yes, that need to keep that streak is a wild drive.

I know but he’s like a tragic teddy bear

Living rent free in your head bud…

Deal with it.

I do, but it’s just for your eyes that you want to shield, you’re literally just putting your fingers in your ears and going ‘nyanynanyanyaaaaa!’

You can click it.

Nothing bothered me, it was actually making it clear that Alvis lives rent free in many of the heads of those who have issues on this forum.

Big words there, but you’re mistaken.

I don’t need the drama, it’s just funny watching people have issue with what’s said because they are that caught up on being upset about someone posting.

Nope.

That’s incorrect.

Cool story bro, but lucky for everyone you decided not to be one because it’s obvious you’d be a liability in acting on someone who you merely disagree with.

You are after all the one who got upset and spat the dummy about me commenting making quip about my 10 year tenure… You are the one who has the trouble.

Despite my takes being identical to most of the experts of War Thunder, I get hate.
It’s wild.

From criticizing War Thunder’s flaws, to pro-decompression where compression still exists, to basic facts about nation bias not existing, and so on.

Also @Rikers_Beard staff have icons next to their usernames, which you admitted to.

How can you sound like a very old conservative dude while sound like 12-years-old child at the same time

Maybe I just don’t have the right mindset, but I can’t really understand the profit-only mindset. Do they not see the long-term money potential by being careful, by listening, and targeting customer loyalty first?
Or do they not care?

Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s impossible to please everyone, and I’m not asking them to! But whatever path they choose, wouldn’t it be better to take it slow enough to make sure it’s right the first time?
After all, when I was a kid, I was always told: “If you’re not gonna do it right, don’t do it at all.”

Who cares about the short-term profits, when you can ensure a long-term stable income?
Entire economies bloomed when they took that stance back in the day, why can’t it now?

The Revolving Door mindset has been proven to work, especially in F2P gaming. And it requires less effort.

For every 1 of us on the forum, which represents soooo little of the entire playerbase, there’s a thousand who have played for a little bit, left, followed by a thousand more who played for a little bit, then left. Over and over. They don’t need long term loyalty.

But…
The principle…
What are we without our principles???

I’m sure you’re wise enough of the world by now to be saying that in jest.

The forums are overly negative cause the issues brought up either get ignored or silenced by the mods lol.

Still waiting for my Sholef to lose its fake 15 tons given to it.

The issues that are expressed in a way that follows the guidelines of the Forum will never be silenced.

The problem is that people don’t even give the rules a good look and proceed to create suggestions in the wrong section, or use very “colorful” language to express themselves, hence ruining their potentially helpful post.

We do not and never will silence you for saying something that is respectful AND helpful. Your own opinion is welcome as long as it doesn’t harm others.

Hopefully we’ve made this clear enough.

You’re free to ban me, suspend me, or place me on hold repeatedly for calmly criticizing moderator actions but understand this only strengthens my position. When someone searches “War Thunder is dying,” they will find my thread. And when they read it, they’ll also see the person who created it being quietly silenced. Does that look good for Gaijin? Obviously not. FAQ - War Thunder — official forum

" 3.8. It is not allowed to discuss threads closed by the Administration or Website Managers or any Users’ posts deleted by them, challenge or discuss corresponding actions of Administration, Moderators (and/or Global Moderators), Community Managers, Coordinators, and Game Masters in any form. Depending on the circumstances and severity, the following sanctions may be imposed on the User’s Gaijin Account:"

So when a moderator states:

…while enforcing a rule that explicitly forbids any discussion of moderation, the contradiction becomes hard to ignore. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and not call it hypocritical but I hope it’s clear why people find this dynamic concerning.

If the intention is to keep the forum constructive, then it’s worth considering that silencing criticism especially when it’s measured does not build trust. It undermines it.

Considering the game has never been more popular by concurrent playercount (except maybe during Covid) despite the decisions being undertaken by the devs being more and more anti-consumer, it’s working for them so why would they stop?

You’re simply not allowed to discuss moderation in public and therefore HAVE to discuss it in Private Messages (PM). Discussing moderation in public is not allowed for a plethora of reasons such as derailing the topic, having third parties (other users) take advantage of the situation and so on…

Constructive criticism is always allowed. Constructive criticism ON MODERATION has to happen in private where there will be a dialogue between the moderated person and the moderation team.

Hopefully this was clear enough.

No, it isn’t. Or rather, it shouldn’t be. WW2 and early cold war vehicles are not some stepping stone on the way to the top. They are worth playing themselves. I have a few thousand hours in game and I find late ww2 stuff is the most engaging gameplay and so that’s what I stick to. The only issue there is the increasing prevalence of cold war rats which suck all the fun out of it

There’s a reason 6.7 is my favorite BR in the game.
While being extremely balanced, it’s just good fun.
