War Thunder is Going to die in 2-4 Years

What?

im pretty sure they know that changing hydralic pump box of the abrams is easier than modeling an entire basket
and hell im also pretty sure that even after modeling basket they can still just change hydraulic pump location of it without much work
they wont fix simple bug that doesnt affect the main gameplay
but they also wont fix bugs that are inaccurate either

Mines a bit more serious, in fact I class it as actually game breaking…

And it’s even got worse since that video was made.

sometimes when a bug report is accept you can request to follow what progress has it made, and its been zero progress

every update is just worse and worse, but i dont think they care, they making money correct? when a company make money, they dont need to care for their users and thats like 80% of the company that exist in the entire world
as long as we make money, we are fine
-every company ever exist

Many of your bugs are nothing issues compared to the actual controls not working, but the constant spam of things being ‘broken’ makes those genuine breakages harder to highlight because peopel spam about the problems, but aren’t actually holding up the true bugs.

and things like windowed fullscreen freezing issue which isnt even there at the first place but they somehow broke it(anticheat?)

@MrBombastic8
Merkavas have received a number of fixes, and Israel is 3 years old, not 5:

New SPAA is coming this year, and the only SPAA capable of being added since mid 2023 was and is Python 5 SPYDER, it takes time for them to determine that’s the next SPAA to add and for them to develop it.
2- Hydraulic pump could be lower priority over more important issues.
3- Potentially, especially if it involves bugs that impact all vehicles.
4- There are no active bug reports for the Ariete’s armor.
5- That requires fixing the acceleration of all tanks in-game, not just Leclerc’s.
6- Harrier’s bug report was only recently made; and a number of Harrier bugs were fixed last major update.
7- There are quite literally thousands of vehicles and a limited amount of staff.

Development isn’t done instantly, it’s not physically possible.
If you think you can fix bugs, you’re more than welcome to become a bug fixer.

@FlyingDoctor
You most likely have controls overriding each other. A solution is purging the controls and starting over; a friend of mine had to do this to play sim cause we couldn’t find the control screwing over his sim controls.

You assuming that it’s the anticheat is again, the same old distraction and assumption.

no i put a ? there because im not sure

Doesn’t matter if you put a question mark or not, the ammount of peopel that will pounce on a thread to make out that it is the anticheat because it doesn’t work and they should ‘fix’ it anyway is abundantly clear throughout the forums and the issue reports.

And lord have mercy on anyone who tries to actually get someone to diagnose it or even contemplate that it isn’t…

They have never done that AFAIK have they?

And it is irrelevant to whether they are in the process of fixing it or not.

1/ companies DO care for their customers, because customers are what makes them money, but normally only to he extent that the customers still give them money.

Remember that if you are not paying anything then YOU are the product being sold.

and

2/ welcome to reality.

its not even ingame, im speechless

LOWER? LOWER PRIORITY? YOU MEAN THEY COULDNT JUST MOVE THAT THING TO THE ENGINE DECK? LIKE JUST SELECT THE MODEL, PICK IT UP, MOVE IT TO THE ENGINE, MAYBE CUT THE MODEL IN HALF OR DO MINIMAL MODELLING OF IT TO FIX IT AND THATS LIKE DONE? YOU TELL ME THEY COULDNT JUST DO THAT?

that doesnt even make sense or related to the abrams ufp???

https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/MA8ugNxKkXQm

then fix that? that surely is a prioritize for better gameplay?

do you need more?

that is there fault for not hiring more devs when they need more, because money. But then what is the bug report for if they cant even fix it???

they never even touch it, the bug report manager definitely was told: “yeah looks good, just slap accepted on it”

good point

yeah i hate reality

@MrBombastic8

1- Correct, because stats showed CAS not being OP until 2024 because players didn’t know how to play CAS properly because SPAA range was only 10 - 12km, then 13km with initial Pantsir, and 16km as of ~September 2024.

2- If the historical issue isn’t causing a notable survivability problem, then it being low priority is fine.
As I said, if you think bug fixing is easy, you’re more than welcome to become a bug fixer yourself.

4- Fair. Also:
“The Ariete with fixed armor will be more competitive than now,and top tier APFSDS will still be able to penatrate Ariete”
5- Give it time, it involves a ground physics overhaul.
6- Of those not forwarded as suggestions was the one I was talking about: Speed.
The RWR should’ve just been a standard bug report, though the current is more than usable.
Engine smoke aesthetics is that.

Got any actual evidence of that, or are you just libeling them 'cos you don’t know any better?

so you dont want SPYDER ingame because CAS isnt OP

ok give me an email i go fix and leave?
they dont want to hire becaude it cost money, and do you think changing a single block of hydraulic on the model is difficult? you never use blender or anything graphic related then

yeah its gonna be around 2A4M level armor, but it hasnt been fix

mhm

hm fair enough

the latter, even though it makes my other arguements looks like its coming from an idiot i dont really care because ive make enough good points
you could also imagine thats the case since yk, stuff havent been fix, for a long long time
and @AlvisWisla you flag my comment did you?

yes I get that you are entirely saftisfied with your own points.

And other stuff is fixed, sometimes even quickly, and they post the updates in the “Official News, Developments” forum - maybe you should read that occasionally!!

Here’s the link:

You clearly have no idea how software development works… and that is why…

i do read them occasionally, they do fixed stuff, its just that stuff is either easy to fix, hurt their economies, stuff that they actually want to fix instead of the numerous vehicle issue, which they couldnt even bother to consider to fix them

i do actually, not much but enough to know what im talking about, and i know that fixing hydraulic pump model and ufp of abrams for example is easier than to code a new lines for an entire new model that function as traverse, damage model, hitbox, etc… that they actually spend time on doing detail, instead of, fixing hydraulic pump location
and they couldnt even bother to make it right
