I came on the scene in like 2022, so I don’t know all the specifics. All I remember was Type 16 was supposedly the best tank (or most modern, one of the two), F4S was the best jet ever (yeah no), and there was a funny 1.0 tank that could dominate +4 BRs above (I don’t know what it was).
Personally I couldn’t tell you what War Thunder has over anyone else, simply because the competition caters to PC players. Don’t get me wrong, I love War Thunder, I just view that it could do better, be better. They have the ability.
but the problem with game devs these day is that even if they have the money and ability they dont want to do it, because they already have money and they dont have to try to make more money
Oh, there’s plenty of room for improvement.
All I’m saying is War Thunder today is far and above improved over 2013 War Thunder.
Back in 2015, NOTHING was as good as War Thunder, AC7, DCS, World of Tanks, etc is today.
Every military combat game was just so much worse, and I thankfully only remember fragments of it.
And War Thunder will keep improving every major update to stay ahead of competitors, as they’ve always done.
No, not all the added features are glittery, but most of them are vastly important features.
There’s an AI overhaul they very much need to make EC modes better; and there’s signs of progress this last major update.
the problem is do they want to improve or not, you can clearly see they dont
theres probably thousand of vehicle bug report they havent fix, if they just fix it once in a while or fix it after every update they would have been fine, they would be able to make more money without having to think about fixing bugs which i doubt they even care rn because they are making money doing minimal work, and its only when they need to hit the quota again they make some model and half if not 80% of the model they make are lock behind paywall
@MrBombastic8
Every single major update since at least 2022 has offered new extremely expensive to develop features.
So it’s blatantly obvious they want and do improve the game.
There are weekly bug fix patches.
And there are no quotas.
Game development takes time, especially for expansive projects.
All that and more.
If has been reported, and if they agree that it is an issue, or even things they have picked up themselves, and it hasn’t been fixed yet, then yes it is still being fixed.
follow for internal report, guess how many has they send? absolute ZERO
I’m still waiting for them to fix the default air controls, and the random resorting of the squadron member list when you’re trying to maintain your squadron…
What?
im pretty sure they know that changing hydralic pump box of the abrams is easier than modeling an entire basket
and hell im also pretty sure that even after modeling basket they can still just change hydraulic pump location of it without much work
they wont fix simple bug that doesnt affect the main gameplay
but they also wont fix bugs that are inaccurate either
Mines a bit more serious, in fact I class it as actually game breaking…
And it’s even got worse since that video was made.
sometimes when a bug report is accept you can request to follow what progress has it made, and its been zero progress
every update is just worse and worse, but i dont think they care, they making money correct? when a company make money, they dont need to care for their users and thats like 80% of the company that exist in the entire world
as long as we make money, we are fine
-every company ever exist
Many of your bugs are nothing issues compared to the actual controls not working, but the constant spam of things being ‘broken’ makes those genuine breakages harder to highlight because peopel spam about the problems, but aren’t actually holding up the true bugs.
and things like windowed fullscreen freezing issue which isnt even there at the first place but they somehow broke it(anticheat?)
@MrBombastic8
Merkavas have received a number of fixes, and Israel is 3 years old, not 5:
New SPAA is coming this year, and the only SPAA capable of being added since mid 2023 was and is Python 5 SPYDER, it takes time for them to determine that’s the next SPAA to add and for them to develop it.
2- Hydraulic pump could be lower priority over more important issues.
3- Potentially, especially if it involves bugs that impact all vehicles.
4- There are no active bug reports for the Ariete’s armor.
5- That requires fixing the acceleration of all tanks in-game, not just Leclerc’s.
6- Harrier’s bug report was only recently made; and a number of Harrier bugs were fixed last major update.
7- There are quite literally thousands of vehicles and a limited amount of staff.
Development isn’t done instantly, it’s not physically possible.
If you think you can fix bugs, you’re more than welcome to become a bug fixer.
@FlyingDoctor
You most likely have controls overriding each other. A solution is purging the controls and starting over; a friend of mine had to do this to play sim cause we couldn’t find the control screwing over his sim controls.
You assuming that it’s the anticheat is again, the same old distraction and assumption.
no i put a ? there because im not sure
Doesn’t matter if you put a question mark or not, the ammount of peopel that will pounce on a thread to make out that it is the anticheat because it doesn’t work and they should ‘fix’ it anyway is abundantly clear throughout the forums and the issue reports.
And lord have mercy on anyone who tries to actually get someone to diagnose it or even contemplate that it isn’t…
