War Thunder is Going to die in 2-4 Years

@masinator2012
lol Not only is your post gaslighting…
I haven’t seen a bot in an air RB match at all this month, zero, and I’ve played during all hours.
32 players… 3.1%.
Not even 3.1% of those 158757 active players in that 10 minutes of play are bots.
Of course, I play longer than the average War Thunder player during a day of play, so that 3.1% drops to <1% really fast.

Oh, and take into account that’s air RB, and that’s <0.3%.

This game is hugely historical Alvis,I dont really understand where you are coming from.Every detail on the vehicles is an attempt to recreate history. Its almost reenactment and for many of us it is reenactment, that is why we play it.
Like the Guys who dress up in authentic WW2 uniforms and restore WW2 vehicles exactly as they were to the most minute detail.

There is a whole world of appreciation for such things out there so please don’t come on here telling us all there isn’t.

bullshite, having an avrege of +100k online players is not a dying game. I would worry when it will be lower than 30k

Hope not! It’s quite good one.

ofc. got some up’s and down’s.

I said attempt and they do attempt

Allowing players to climb faster the research trees is a great way of balancing the game more. Doesn’t make sense to have 90% of players in low BR.

Or it does it?
Count into that info that more high level and experienced players play middle BRs and that you’ll see most of the low level/ beginners at 12.0+ and you’ll hopefully see a clearer picture why it’s like that.
Middle to lowish BRs tend to be better balanced as well and don’t swap metas from patch to patch like top tier does with a new meta tank or plane every three months

I’ve been playing since 2017 or 2018 and still don’t have a top tier vehicle. I just don’t care about modern stuff.

Bruh, WoT is still going and I’d argue that War Thunder has way longer legs and a fraction of the issues.

Every thing is true no lies

Die, no, there will always be new prospective players and modes they can add to get people coming back, especially in a market they wholly control.

To be fair, top tier is really just who shoots first, it’s practically CS (And I’d know, I play it regularly)

Technically still a skill issue however.

It’s been over 12 years stuck in a stalemate.

Where did you get this number?
(I really would like to know…i also think progress is too slow…but lack the data to “prove” it)

Or is it like this?

I totally understand your frustration. It can be really disheartening when the game you love feels like it’s losing its spark. But let’s not lose hope just yet—there’s still plenty of room for expansion. The journey to top-tier tanks is an exciting adventure, filled with learning and growth. Every battle, regardless of the outcome, is an opportunity to improve your skills and strategies. If you feel frustrated, try a different game mode, or just take a break for a couple of hours—it makes a huge difference to your mental health.

The presence of diverse players, including those who may not perform as well, adds to the dynamic and unpredictable nature of the game, keeping it interesting and challenging. If you’re struggling, find new people to play with or squad up with friends. Gaijin continues to add new content, which means there’s always something fresh to explore and master. There are still Naval Cold War and modern ships to work into, and China, Sweden, and Israel don’t even have theirs yet. Plus, we have plenty of ground and air assets to expand upon, and the option to open up more unique nations in the future.

This constant evolution keeps the game alive and engaging. While there may be issues with balance and gameplay, the community’s feedback is crucial in driving improvements. By voicing your concerns constructively, you contribute to the game’s development and help shape its future. We’ve proven that together we can make a difference.

Remember, every game has its ups and downs, but the passion and dedication of its players can make a significant difference. Let’s stay positive and continue to enjoy the unique experiences War Thunder offers.

Sooner or later it will happen there are many reasons the packages are incredibly expensive on top of that they don’t offer great improvements in research especially in tanks it’s pathetic the Tank Research even if you put money into the game the progress is very slow and bad Ask anyone and they all have a bad image of Gaijin intertaiment with their Micro payments inside the game to top it off. Gaijin intertaiment with their in-game micro payments to top it all off They only like to balance “their favorite countries” the rest will have to wait 1 whole year to receive some other vehicle The community is super toxic it seems they only come to the forum to complain to improve their nation that receives update every patch “USA, RUSSIA”

Literally the game this in a nutshell is :

  • Very expensive packages with few benefits are always subject to change and then they make them unplayable like F20.

  • They only like to put USA and RUSSIA content in the game.

  • They never solved spawm camping with their 500 meter maps.

  • They don’t innovate in a game mode since the game came out 11 years ago.

  • They have ruined Simulator in both tanks and planes.

  • The bug reporting system is simply mediocre, they only attend to solve very small problems.

  • The activity research system is simply very bad.

  • They add maps every 3 updates (luckily it’s only one map)

  • Top tier maps for both air and ground are incredibly small.

  • The CAS never knew how to balance it

  • The KH 38 has 3 times the range of any anti-aircraft except for the Pantsir, both of which happen to be Russian.

  • They never put Modern anti-aircraft but they complain that they can’t balance the CAS.

  • The Company only listens if you ReviewBoming it.

  • The FORUM seems to be a war to see which favorite country is nerfed or who is not nerfed.

  • You can’t find games in tank simulator and sometimes in airplanes because everyone plays on one side only.

  • Ships simply could never be adapted to the game and they keep adding ships that nobody cares about.

  • BR system is just plain bad, how can they match WWII tanks against cold war tanks like the M51? ???

  • The PaytoWin (DS38,IS6,AD2-D1,G91R4,SEA VIXEN,VIDAR,XM1,T80UD,HarrierGR1,A10) need more examples? (advantage over the one that doesn’t pay)

  • They moderate the forum believing they are going to clean up the bad view of the game literally mind they can moderate all they want the forum but outside the forum people already know what their game is like.

  • Top tier tank games last literally less than 10 minutes in most cases.

  • They don’t like to innovate, they just Copy + Paste all the patches (to earn more money).

  • People are very conformist and do not assimilate that they literally charge 75 dollars per package and on top of that they are mediocre.

  • And they always claim that because of the “balance” they are not going to add content and then you have things like the F14 with active missiles breaking the game (more than a year ago) when just a movie of the F14 came out. They are double-sided

  • The Mig 29 SMT its model is simply fictitious, it is a stone according to gaijin.

  • They are not well informed when putting a new vehicle on the market and the result is a half-baked vehicle.

  • Gaijin never knew how to innovate in tankers (they pretend that the same boring gameplay is going to work on ships) If you are already bored in tanks.

  • Warthunder is boring

Don’t they realize that if they just make a boring and monotonous game no one is going to put money into their game?

I’ve been playing since 2013, and overall, I think War Thunder has done a great job. However, many of the recent updates or mechanics they’re trying to implement feel more like tutorials for new players rather than meaningful additions. Back in 2018, for example, players had to figure things out on their own, learning from mistakes and improving over time. Now, mechanics like ammo boxes—which are a big topic—feel like a step in the wrong direction. Instead of fixing issues that have persisted for almost a decade, they’re introducing features that require more maintenance and bring new problems. In the long run, these choices risk harming the game more than enhancing it

They need to. A level 5 player buys a top jet with a weak radar. That’s a recipe for disaster.I 've seen new level 20 players with machines worth $500.
