War Thunder is Going to die in 2-4 Years

The only thing that indicates that the game may run out of steam soon is the forum itself and that hatred for the new systems coming in. The top tier ODL and the map changes.

My own input into this situation;

War Thunder will live on but it’ll plateau at some point. Sure TOGs (the old gang; the original players) will leave mostly because of boredom or simply they’ve got something else to do but there’s always the
newer generation to replace them.

Sure, there’s a bunch of gamemodes you could consider dead like naval (bluewater is overrun by FKs and Moffetts; don’t get me started on coastal) even though I have high hopes for French coastal (which should resuscitate coastal) but otherwise WT’s simply going to grow and grow.

To a degree but what is replacing them does not seem to be to anybody’s liking ,especially top tier.It seems that so much has changed socially even in 12 years and many new players are too entitled to suffer the “Hardships” of the game.

I wholeheartedly agree.

I dont agree with the removal of any vehicle, but i agree on the balancing, Gaijin needs to take care of it.

Well, removal can be like wuth Panthera 2, just remove ability to research it

2-4 years is pretty vague ,how about 4 -6 or 6 -8? It could die over night if Microsoft or somebody made a tank game.How much of WT is copyrighted? Just read the forum ,understand what bugs the hell out of players an release a game with all the bad bits missing.

Then Gaijin sit and wonder why they didn’t think of it.

Whats the point of it?

Realism.

“Realism” by the way. Gaijin uses this only when it suits them and to make Non-russian vehicles and players suffer. War Thunder is semi-realistic at best.

no it wont yes the balancing has issues but most of those issues would take year to correctly Balance

That’s a good way to kill War Thunder.

Also in terms of game engine releases, we’re on War Thunder 6.

Thats a good way to get historical game

Not even DCS has popular historical servers. Most of the popularity is the same thing War Thunder’s doing: Realism without the history nonsense.

Good chunk of them are bots sitting there collecting hours or botting matches.
If you do a bit of web searching you’ll find forums and discords where ppl doing this for profits on large scale.
Thinking that these are all real players is disillusion.

@masinator2012
lol Not only is your post gaslighting…
I haven’t seen a bot in an air RB match at all this month, zero, and I’ve played during all hours.
32 players… 3.1%.
Not even 3.1% of those 158757 active players in that 10 minutes of play are bots.
Of course, I play longer than the average War Thunder player during a day of play, so that 3.1% drops to <1% really fast.

Oh, and take into account that’s air RB, and that’s <0.3%.

This game is hugely historical Alvis,I dont really understand where you are coming from.Every detail on the vehicles is an attempt to recreate history.Its almost reenactment and for many of us it is reenactment,that is why we play it.
Like the Guys who dress up in authentic WW2 uniforms and restore WW2 vehicles exactly as they were to the most minute detail.

There is a whole world of appreciation for such things out there so please don’t come on here telling us all there isn’t.

bullshite, having an avrege of +100k online players is not a dying game. I would worry when it will be lower than 30k
