Let me remind you that with guns like 88mm, it took from 10,000 to 17,000 rounds to shoot down one plane…

This type of BS also hurts countries, like the finns, who used it way before the austrian painter used it.

My hottake:

1, Despite APHE overperforming, it should not be changed in the upcomming months, seeing how awfully Gaijin butchered APDS during the last changes.

2, Every tank should get a usable stock round. So for example US 75, 76, and 90mm should get stock APHE.

  1. Every tank should get a reasonable ammo count, so at least 30 ammo in tanks, like Su-5-1.

I sure do love my T26E5 not being able to frontally pen a jagdtiger and it one shots me center mass.
Or a King Tiger pens my turret ring after I non pen him.
Or a IS-3 one shots my after I non pen him.

If any of your replies is just “skill issue” or “use APCR”(i do) just don’t reply.

T26E5 is better than the Tiger II H in CQC. It is not a long range tank, you shouldn’t use it to snipe unless you are flanking. As someone who plays both, the Tiger IIs turret is a weakspot if you can pen more than 210mm. Compare this to the T26E5, which has a somewhat trolly turret, unlike the Tiger II.

I said they have the best lineup because they have several heavy and light tank choices, as well as a plethora of CAS options.

And I will say “use APCR” because it is a good idea, and allows you to deal with Tiger IIs and other heavily armoured tanks.

CAS is ok but the rewards for aa should be increased so more people are playing them.

Hot Take: Gaijin’s lazy copy-paste approach to tech trees in War Thunder is turning the game into a bland wasteland of recycled content. Minor nations are treated like second-class citizens while major nations hog all the originality. It’s time for Gaijin to wake up and start delivering real diversity instead of just slapping Soviet tanks on every tech tree like they’re handing out candy on Halloween.

Teamkilling should be removed from sim and replaced with reflected damage so it punishes morons who don’t ID their targets and not the victims of their idiocy.
Also just solves teamkill abuse in general.

Wow it’s hard to pen a superheavy casemate from the front? Absolutely shocking.

yeah why is that balanced? even the heaviest American tanks will struggle against Jagdtiger at the same BR. It can pen everything, and not much will pen it.

How is it balanced that a very slow tank destroyer without a turret with a 20 second reload can’t be frontally penned by the entire US lineup without switching to APCR or shooting weakposts? You’re right sounds absolutely broken.

This shouldn’t have to be a hot take, but here we go.

The F8F-1B is so mediocre that it is a bad plane with nothing going for it except some firepower that you can’t even use in a dive, because the rudder is so trash. If the enemy dies to me, either I have some baller 1km aim or they’re unpaid actards.

Planes in game should have significantly buffed damage models and instead have kills be reliant on ammo explosions based on caliber and filler(Shooting an enemy’s gun literally does nothing in this game), loss of lift from the air foil skin being sheared off, fires, damage to the control surfaces and cables, engine damage and pilot snipes. This would add another element as some aircraft would be particularly tough foes as glancing blows probably won’t do much unless you can really dump a lot of ammo on a guy or if the plane was made with something structurally weaker,

All planes have cartoonishly bad damage models and need to be buffed, or all cannons and guns in the game are cartoonishly powerful and need to be nerfed. several 20mm shells that can fit in your hand can blow off entire tails of fighter aircraft in 2-4 shots. This is ultimately more incredulous when some of these aircraft are known for taking a beating.
They act like a short burst is on par with having a 500lb bomb explode on your plane.

  1. F-4E should be good in a look down environment.

Yet Gaijin has seemingly swapped radar performance as the F-8E nearly flies like a pulse doppler with how close the enemy can get to the ground and you can still achieve radar lock while the F-4E with the advanced radar set and the man in the back specifically for manning the radar seems pretty useless as he basically just sits on his ass and does nothing but leave the plane in automatic scan.

I am assuming you are not experienced enough to realise the weakspots of the jagdtiger which is why you are complaining about it

There aren’t really any. If you’re lucky you can pen teh MG port with the 90mm, but theres no other way to pen the Jagdtiger from the front without APCR
