War thunder is a game that makes minimal effort to hide that it has a degree of pay to win that the community is somewhat comfortable with.
I find that I develop an unhealthy relationship with the game because it’s easy to attribute a feeling of urgency to the timed exclusives that are most likely not going be available again.
Why do the devs make the tasks and timeframes so intense? it seems only to serve bot farms. I think most players are probably not happy about it.
120k xp every 2 days in the holidays. When I should be spending time with family. I struggle to achieve 40k and I’m usually bored of a game mode by 30k.
Why? - have some respect for your player base and make non-tradable tokens easy to get for everyone bothering to frequent your game.
War Thunder wants to be my full time job. All to prop up their marketplace economy.
Does anybody know of any action that can be taken aside from reasoning with the developers?
Appreciate any thoughts or counters - cheers.
In a perfect world I have 48 hours to grind but like most people I had other places to be for most of that.
I spent about 10 hours on and off grinding.
These events aren’t achievable for 90% of the playerbase.
If war thunder wants a playerbase that is going to be steady for a long time they should have a slower flow of high quality content that is achievable, not copy paste grind fest.
First off, why are you going for tradable coupons as an employed adult? The time spent working is less time than the cost of the GE progression.
If you have a full time job and video gaming is your hobby, with War Thunder as one of those games. It is always mathematically advantageous to get event vehicles you want using GE instead of time.
This is the case with every live service game in existence.
Event vehicles are optional things, and going for all 3 is just… why?
Trust me, I have no job and not even I have gone for more than 2 event vehicles once every couple years during the old event cycle.
I didn’t have time to play World War during M60 AMBT acquisition period, so I spent $40 to get the M60 AMBT instead.
