Personally I hated that you had to find the objective instead of it being shown on the map and that there was only 1 objective everyone had to rush instead of at least 2. Otherwise it was quite fun even though US side never won because it wasnt possible to bomb all assets, which is fixable.
You would think satellite imagery and other data would give an approximate location of the objctive, same with AA placements. Teammates being visible, but the enemy not was great. You wouldn’t have to hassle with understanding who’s who like in sim, but situational awareness to spot enemies was important.
Also we aren’t getting new gamemodes until there’s a boycott. They’re lazy and unresponsive to any sort of feedback and infact have been making things worse if ARB is of any example.
i get the target locating frustrations. Overall a lot of the concerns ive seen appear easy to fix and theyve shown they can do it fast with the SEAD event. I agree on them doing nothing. its goin gto take an army. Speak up folks. Say something. Write a review. Write in the forums. We get nothing if we stay silent.
Rather than showing exactly where the base is, they could do what the insurgency gamemode in Project Reality did - give the locations of a bunch of potential targets which is only highlighted for everyone once someone visually identifies it.
They are working towards a combined arms goal. Or, more accurately, an expanded version. That’s why you are seeing Deep Strike.
The big issue, will be having a balanced mix of ground/air vehicles, at the start of a match.
I agree, also not even that, just overall game refinement, fixed vehicle and vehicle loadouts, and instead of adding all modern vehicles like they do every update, add more WWII and Cold War vehicles that are missing.
This is not true - the max is four per team. You are however correct that it’s not symmetrical i.e. in a 7.0 - 8.0 match, one team can have 4 8.0 players and the other can have zero.
i don’t think it necessarily needs to be balanced. depending on what the objectives are, I’m okay with it being unbalanced one way or the other. That’s the whole fun part about it! What im not a fan of is how unbalanced grb is for anything that doesn’t roll on wheels while also have no objective
i enjoy arb but the only fun role is fighter. CAS players are forced to kill AI targets. Thats lame. When we go to GRB the entire player base hates our guts. It shouldnt be this way.
A lot of people still haven’t realized that in this game, the most important thing is who controls the tank not whether it’s 11.0 or 12.7. Just recently, in a squadron battle, an XM800T melted three(12.0) Leopards. These are just numbers on paper, parameters this is a video game.
There are players who think the tank they sit in automatically reflects their skill and performance. So if I’m using a 12.7 Hungarian Leopard, I must be better than someone in a 10.0 vehicle, right? Because my BR is higher… x)
What we really need is a proper ELO system. Surely it’s not that hard to build an algorithm that matches players with similar skill levels. You know it checks the queue and puts players with 0.1–0.5 KD in one match, 0.5–1.0 in another. Boom, problem solved. No more 0.5 KD players running into 2.0 KD monsters.
But hey, the sun’s shining and the decals are pretty! Just be happy and stop complaining!"
