War Thunder burnout/pain

Dude, mental health in video games in general I care about.
I want everyone, without exception, to play what they love.

When they enter War Thunder and I know them, I explicitly tell them: Play the vehicles you like. You are not obligated to play vehicles or BRs you dislike, ever.

The grind is secondary to fun.

Thx bro. Do you know anything about the Su-24M? I wanna grind it instead of F-4J, A-10 late, and F/A-18 in order to get to the F-14A. I really love the boxy shape of the Su-24M and I love strike bombers in general. I have the MiG-23ML and Su-39 I can grind the La-200, Su-7, and MiG-27K and then the Su-24M.

how do you plan on researching the F-14A with the Su-24M

I’m 200K from F-4J.

you can try for the F-4E which is pretty good, or maybe F-4C if you like it

Not another damn line grind ;-;

Sadly I only went for naval, strike, and bomber ;-;

its worth it though, F-4E/F-15 line is the future of US a2a

Su-24M is a great low-altitude strike aircraft.
The best loadout for speed is 2x napalm and 4x R-60Ms.
It does not turn well at all in auto wing sweep mode, and 0% wing sweep has a relatively low top speed.

It’s best in simulator, and you can bomb bases with its napalm.
You can bomb airfields with its GPS guided bombs from higher altitudes using CCRP bombing [the simulator airfields have modular damage models].

Overall a neat aircraft, but difficult to learn in my opinion.

man i wish they gave the F-111F the napalm it deserves

All i can say is dont play to grind.
Find vehicles you enjoy, play those and don’t look at vehicles you are researching. Sure, your RP will be way slower, but vehicles will still get researched and will often pop up as complete when you least expect.
I guess easier for me because im happy with ww2 stuff and never really had an interest in modern vehicles.

I’ve grown skeptical of grinding games lately. If you feel like you need to play “to grind something”, instead of doing so for fun, then it’s not healthy, and you’re just throwing years of your life to the trash (because every grinding game will die eventually, and all that time will have been for nothing).

I just play for fun, I’m literally unable to grind anymore, after +2k hours I do “roleplay” (Shilka platoon being the most we do) with a friend and that’s it.

Game has been out since 2012. It’s not going anywhere. Go play other games. Play War Thunder when you actually feel like it.

This is where I’m at. I have a few lineups that I never tire of and that’s what I jump on and play. But of course, it’s easier to say this once you’ve already grinded the vehicles you want.

Just forget the grind and play only when you want to, and what you want to. The grind just takes away all the fun
