War Thunder Anti-Cheat System Update

If it didn’t mention them, they’re allowed. Why would changing the name of a vehicle or kill message be ban worthy?

Please tell me what else does that imply/// common stop being childish

It is not ban worthy. I get that. But the post only addresses sound mods, not lang, so I wanted to clarify.

Probably because sound mods have been subject to some controversy before, so they’re just extra clear for them

What they mean by modding not being cheating is basic allowed mods. Like, the game has explcit functionality for lang mods, therefore it’s not cheating. Same for sound mods.

Same approach as with EAC.

Alright, so my Incrociatore Leggero Classe Condottieri Tipo Luigi di Savoia Duca degli Abruzzi | Luigi di Savoia Duca degli Abruzzi (1944) is safe.

Ofc my man thers OFFICIAL GAJIN MODS thinking you will get banned for that is redicilous… Only people that do shady stuff are afraid and dont like new anti cheat.

Tell you what? What modding games implies?

Modding games can be anything from cosmetics, overhauls of mechanics for reworking entire systems, to simply helping other players connect or even crash patches. The umbrella of ‘modding’ is so vast that to imply it’s all cheats would just be wrong.

Sound and lang mods are literally not official mods. They definitionally are not. Gaijin would never make an official anime sound pack (ok actually, given the bodypillow decorations ingame, maybe, but you get my point). Sound and lang mods are not official mods, but the game has functionality for them.

Case in point: my own lang mod is not official but the game has functionality for it.

Yeah if you cant guess what being scared of new atni cheat and moding other games imply then my man I wont be wasting my time with you. enjoy the talk with air… just dont mod or mod and dont play Warthunder

You think they added new anti cheat and didnt think about that??? Oke buddy then just dont use mods, simple as that or dont play Warthunder, like theres no third way.

For now we do not plan on changing this.

Literally the question was because the post addressed one type of mod but not another. This isn’t complicated. And Stona answered anyway.

I don’t think anybody is afraid, but rather just unhappy with on-boarding another process to run in the background of you system not only taking up resources, but also completely closed source.

There is really no need to argue on questions.
If you have one (on topic), ask, I am trying to answer all (it can take some time, I need to get the answer first :) ).
We do not want to change our approach: if you are not cheating and do not get an advantage with modifications (for example, mentioned sounds mods or, for example interface/localization text edits) you are safe.
War Thunder is for players (not cheaters) and it will stay like that :)

I’ve never seen a cheater in AB, but I don’t look.
EAC has never worked on my computer, not sure if BattlEye will work or not.

Thank you your constructive answer.

True i understand i also not want to write the list which allowed and which banned in my project(s) case. I understand that point of view. It’s a securiry issue.
To be avoid misunderstanding , i just interested in , it worth to create new skins/maps or not. Nothing special. I don’t care the headwash part i just wanted one answer… and the answer i got.

The answer which i wanted is the last sentence: ‘Rule is same like for EAC.’ That was i want to hear. That answer all of my question. That enought for me… Thank you.

Spoiler

So, AIR RB players are not forced to enable BattlEye? If so, i don’t like it. I prefer having the peace of mind, that there is at least something trying to catch cheaters.

Hi @Stona_WT
Quick question, does BattlEye have any issues with Logitech G Hub software?
(IIRC, some time ago, G Hub did have an update which listed War Thunder as one of supported games)

I gotta admit I’m kinda worried about the false positive claims I’ve read on the Internet over the years… I hope they are just urban legends- if this really helps against the huge cheating problem, then its warmly welcome!
