War Thunder Anti-Cheat System Update

Hi!
AFAIK Virtual Machines are not supported (and not allowed) when using BE, sorry.

Hi, Stona, I have a question.

Out of curiosity, has Battle Eye been tested with War Thunder for commonly used applications that people run alongside it, like WTRTI, or for localhost:8111/editor/fm_commands?

I know it says that Battle Eye is not supposed touch you if you are not using illegal modifications, but WTRTI falls into a gray area, where it is allowed as it uses open data from localhost, but it still “modifies” the game screen by overlaying information on top of it. Would be a shame to try gathering data for an FM bug report and get banned instead.

I think you got the wrong guy

Anti cheat scans your memory and could detect cheat engine, you modded another game with and ban you in WT.

In 2019 I wanted to mod Cyberpunk 2077 with cheat engine, but then I saw a post someone being banned in WT for it (used cheat engine in RDR2 I think), so I decided not to use it, just to be safe.

TBF I am scared to even use a modded hangar or a soundpack :D

Honestly, it is quite questionable as to the effectiveness of BE against cheaters, considering what has happened in other games that use BE, except for EFT.

EFT for example had them add significantly more protection and packet encryption and extra shellcode but, not sure Gaijin also do that.

Anyway, Hopefully there will be fewer cheaters.

AFAIK Same approach as with EAC.

Kernel level ACs are basically spyware. They shouldn’t be allowed to exist.

I’d appreciate an answer on this, will BattleEye be optional for certain modes like Air RB like EAC is?

Replacing a bad anti cheat with a worse one seems hardly an update

If this means no more crashing because of EAC then I’m happy for the switch. The same kind of crashing I get with Elden Ring.

Why the switch from EAC to BE though? Was something wrong with EAC (for the usual user)?

Will Arcade (air and ground) players be required to use the new anti-cheat?

wait, where did the piggy go?

people not genuinely happy for anticheat is so weird. also a lot of you are modding other games and that tells me why you dont like this anticheat… LOL

Good job Gajin

I switched to seamless specifically for the extra performance and more stability. Got tired of EAC crashing the game all the time.

So are lang mods still allowed? The post addresses sound mods but not lang mods.

I’m sorry, but you are at the peak of the dunning-kruger effect.

First off, modding other games != cheating. The implication that that it is, is just silly.

Secondly, like I said earlier. These ACs are extremely low level, and closed source. There is no way to validate everything they do while they have extremely elevated permissions within your system.

Gotta love everyone thinking cosmetic “mods” like user skins will now be banned when they said nothing to suggest that anywhere in the post. Warthunder playerbase is so funny

I don’t think cosmetic mods will be entirely banned. I’m asking because the post says sound mods are still allowed but does not address lang mods.

I hope so, since the current situation…
