Air RB Anti-Cheat is needed!
Everyone who says there are no cheaters in ARB, have no clue. Just look what u can actually buy on black markets… its disgusting.
Any sense to use them in air rb?
It’s still better than EAC. Which doesn’t do anything at all. Faceit isn’t any better. No Anti-Cheat is.
There isn’t. The only ones I could assume are the Ping/PL spoofers. Aka proximity spoofing. Aka will purposely make you lack straight into the ground causing your so-called “Lagging”.
Hell no, I dont want to be forced to usee that shit. I could deal with EAC, but Battleeye?
Nope.
Out of all anti cheats Gaijoob had to choose the worst one. I’m starting to believe that they do it on purpose, one’s can’t be that incompetent.
honestly I don’t see why there would be problems with G hub. the software is very well known and widespread, I have other games with Battleeye and ghub and no problems. We are no longer in 2010 where widespread third-party software banned players.
I have Ghub as well as MSI software for the voltage of my CG, I have never had any problems with more than 600 different games
Thanks for that answer. It is somewhat encouraging.
I am fully ignorant to AC software.
As such this thread has been scary for me.
The official voice of WT says they don’t know/wont tell us if G hub and other common software will get us a ban for cheating. Only to contact support after it happens.
But anyone who has ever contacted support knows they will simply say “You shouldn’t have had banned software on your computer” and close the ticket.
So it leaves players, like me, who don’t know how it all works in a very bad position.
Id never use cheats, but I don’t know for sure every piece of software on my computer is safe for BattlEye.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
No problem then. I have lots of modded games on my PC (via the Steam workshop, or via Nexus for example) and I’ve never had any problems.
Cheat software is very specific and occurs in specific locations on your computer. No comparison with a ghub, Nvidia’s interface, discord or anything like that.
You will undoubtedly see people complaining about being banned without ever having cheated and then later we learn that there is a little software to cheat on another game on your PC etc etc
Less people trust Battle-Eye
where have you even got this idea that ghub or other common software gets you banned? geforce experience doesnt, OBS doesnt, rivatuner statistics overlay doesnt. I can name multiple software that both have overlays and hook direclty into the API render pipeline to display such overlays and are fine.
Ghub will ONLY get you banned if the anticheat detects macro scripts, im not explaining what these are but all you have to know is, they are VERY common in rainbowsix siege (recoil macros) ghub on its own DOES NOT get you banned, what you choose to run INSIDE of ghub “can” potentially get you banned.
How do I know this? ive been using ghub for the last several years with my G502 X mouse and my recently retired G502 Hero mouse, I’ve been using geforce experience (or better yet shadowplay) to capture recordings (by which war thunder directly supports with nvidia highlights so no chance thats getting you banned)
I’ve also been using msi rivatuner overlay for literally 8+ years now, way back when I was on the OG R9 290X GPU from AMD (thats how far back im talking here)
The only software that I know of (or use to) get you banned by anticheat was Gigabyte RGB Fusion because for some reason it had a habit of injecting .DLLs into system files when it shouldnt have and some anticheat saw this, this was later resolved by gigabyte but also BE and EAC by adding it as a “Known” file type (assuming its not modified)
Its ironic every one is complaining about false bans with BE but ignore the fact we have “so called false ban claims already with EAC” if you aint a 5 year old installing every program that you come across without knowing what they do or how “sure” you are in programs validity then you literally aint getting banned. And this is coming from someone who has 3300 hours in Destiny 2 that has had MULTIPLE false ban waves (also reverted) and Siege with over 6000 hours played. both games which use BE anticheat extensively.
I’m hesitant but also fine with this in a way. I know the devs said there wouldn’t be an effect on FPS, but the only other game i’ve played that had Battleye added(GTA) had a pretty noticeable performance hit. I hope the devs managed to find a good solution to that
How is this fair, eh? It isnt WT’s buisness whether I cheat in entirely unrelated games, and enough people have had issues that I very much doubt it is only this.
An anticheat should concern itself with cheating in the game its in, and nothing else. To be frank, I dont like kernel-level anticheats in general (I rarely play with EAC on at the moment), but EAC was at least benign enough it could be ignored.
Battleeye is not. From the wealth of data and their own FAQ, it is significantly more invasive (Quite literally blocking some hardware-related software), has had exploits that banned innocent players, sends copies of your files to its servers, and the fact that it has a global ban list - something that is not within Gaijn’s power to change. It is bad enough that it is quite literally on the Microsoft recommend block list for drivers.
This isnt a simple matter of ‘oh, they are getting a better anticheat’, this is a matter of genuine privacy and security.
You do realise EAC does the exact same thing or do you not do any basic research on this at all?
Both do system file scanning, so both rely on scanning either the game files OR partial system directory where sometimes cheats like to hide themselves and obfuscate themselves from detection.
BE doesnt block software unless its literally got a conflict (which I’de love to know what software we are talking about here) said exploit was only happening in EFT (escape from tarkov) and ironically with how BE handles requests, you couldnt use this exploit anyway because the moment you make a false ban request for someone, there system would still check it against heuristic data to double check the ban is legit. And this loophole has already been closed anyway.
Funny you lot love to chuck the MS block list around not realising what and why that exists and clearly non of you bothered to read it to understand it or bothered to even go to BEs FAQ page which states the following
"While we are working on finding a solution and are also in contact with Microsoft regarding this issue, unfortunately there is no easy or immediate fix for it.
Update: Recently we have fixed this incompatibility, however, currently the latest Windows 11 is still blocking any version of our driver whenever this feature is enabled. We are currently waiting for Microsoft to release a Windows update to unblock the latest versions of our driver to solve this."
But yeah keep spouting lies when you dont do the basic of researching.
Again what are you comparing this too? do you not understand EAC is doing literally what BE does… both anti cheats are kernal level so both are accessing and having access to the same rights on the system, both are still collecting the same set of data and cross checking this with heuristic patterns and machine learning data, this isnt news unless your just unaware of how anticheat functions nowadays
Are there even any entry level cheaters left in this game after the banwaves? I suspect the ones that still cheat use DMA cards and battle eye will not do anything to them regardless.
If the implementation already happened, I have noticed 0 difference and no false positives and I have countless software that could possible interfere so I doubt any false bans happened
-Note: I probably had BEAC already installed from other games
When starting my game with BattlEye enabled, my SpeedFan (or potentially other hardware-related) software stops working. Please fix it!
BattlEye is blocking certain software that is using kernel drivers which contain known security issues that can be exploited by cheats. We cannot support such software and therefore cannot provide a fix. Please ensure that you are using the latest version of such software or, if there is no newer version available, contact the developer/vendor of the software to notify them of the problem.

Valve Anti-cheat maybe? Warthunder is on steam after all. Doesn’t screw with your OS for one.
From this thread, I would have never considered it otherwise.
So it makes me wonder what else I am not considering.
As I am not a cheater in games, I don’t think like a cheater. I don’t consider what I put on my computer that might get me flagged.
In life you dont know what you dont know.
I just dont want it to bite me in the ass.
We all know how rushed and incomplete WT updates always are. They don’t consider the consequences. And support is unlikely to be helpful in case of ban, especially if I do indeed have the ‘offending software’ on my computer…I am just trying to figure this out and protect my account.
read what I said again because its clear you didnt read anything and just blindly quoted… ill post it again so its better for you to understand:
Thanks for confirming what I already said but whatever. and ironically you didnt do any research on the “speedfan” app did you… ill explain it in simple words for you, that is literally a 9 year old program so expecting that to run when it doesnt even have “official” windows 10 support let alone windows 11 support and have “no compatibility” problems with other apps is literally user error on a big scale but ok.
Again if you can list me updated apps that conflict ill glad accept/refute that if its a program I use and/or have used in the past
Do you even know how VAC works? clearly not because if your even attempting this comparison :D
Quick little google search will take you to a few cheat sites that explain how VAC works in arguably better detail than steam tell you but ill post this here to re-educate you on anticheat.
If you want VAC then your literally asking for something more intrusive than even BE or EAC offer so +1 on that request and VAC can still have false positives that good luck trying to get steam to remove that because any VAC ban is also worldwide, meaning once your VAC banned, any game that uses VAC will have you autobanned even if you legit are a new player to it and havent cheated in it since
I can tell you right now (with proof if you want it in DMs) I can show you my purchase history with logitech products and dates, ive used ghub since its introduction several years ago.
Ghub WILL NOT get you banned UNLESS your attempting to use macro scripts (which someone also mentioned further up)
If you using it like any normal program for key assingments (like iCUE or Steelseries GG) then you are fine, both programs I have installed btw and have used again for years. that I can show proof of.
Why should a video game dictate what software can I and can I not have on my computer and running that are not related to the game in question?
And thank you very much, I have been using speedfan for monitoring for quite a few years now when using Windows. It works. It’s reliable.
The software I use for work is the 2016 release (plus local dev modifications by my team). It’s 9 years old. Is Gaussian16 to be shunned and scorned because it’s 9 years old? No
Computers are not stupid smart phones you toss in the trash every 2 years because the OS stops being compatible with applications.
VAC does not touch the operating system one bit.
There’s a reason these broken anti-cheats only work on Windows and not linux systems.
And looking at recent Microsoft communications, they will hopefully not work on Windows either hopefully sooner than later.
There’s this concept of minimum permission and “One software does exactly one thing, and does it well.” Kernel based anti-cheat violate both of those basic principles.
