VT4A1 - The well-defended battle wolf

which means gaijin dont think its a leak right?

Certainly. Gajjin trys it’s best to avoid anything they believe to be classified, plus they have already acknowledged the reload report so clearly after looking at the document they saw no problem.

I think we should remember that the VT-4 is an export tank built off of an older export tank, so naturally it would be very difficult to keep its values secret while also advertise it to the international market

it’s an 2023 annual budget report (for inspecting work) on the first page of the document, so I don’t think this manual is classified?

sure, im trying to tell the truth to those guys

There are many versions of VT-4, all based on customer requirements. There are everything from castrated versions to top-of-the-line versions.

Even though I don’t think the document is classified, maybe it is better for you for remove the link to it in the forum. I have a bad feeling that some youtubers will have a field day and say there is another War Thunder leak incident.

Yes, Chinese DTC10-125 bullets were leaked in Taobao, but some people said they were leaked in WT.

Their rumor propaganda is very powerful

Given how useful this document it to Chinese bug reports in war thunder, and the fact that Gajjin themselves are already acknowledging and using it, I shall let it stay up for now, but will remove it if an issue is officially raised by gajjin staff.

It was someone else within a discord server who had shown this document to me, and without them I wouldn’t of been able to make these reports, so the real hero is them! But thank you also to all the people who have helped translate and report this document to gajjin!

Ok so the reverse speed for CH-1000B transmission is confirmed to be 17.0km/h

Yes, the most important thing is that Gaijin is alerted to the existence of this document, so there is no reason to create a haf-assed VT-4. More importantly, if the reload speed buff is implemented, it will benefit all Chinese top MBTs.

Im not sure it will buff all Chinese tanks. Someone would have to make a bug report and prove that all Chinese Autoloaders are the same as on the VT-4 in order for that to be possible. I don’t know enough about the Autoloaders on tanks such as the ZTZ-96 or 99 to be sure about that

@NetsuButF16 Sorry to bother you again, but can you check the vertical tranverse speed section again? Someone on Chinese forum claimed 5-7 degree/s is aiming speed with fire control system turned on, the raw tranverse speed without fire control should 40/20.
For reference, below is data for Leopard2A7, it shows aiming speed is also much slower:

From what I understand, 30°/s and 15°/s seem to be a raw travese speed for both horizontal and vertical? While engage a fire control system, it will apply stiffness and slow down to about 9-15°/s for horizontal and about 5-7°/s for vertical.

from p69 & 70

I’m not 100% sure about this though, might need another thai person to help me clarify this information.

Definitely worth trying to look into, as breaking out of that 7° restriction would be great for the VT-4

Also something else I noticed a while ago but have yet to bug report, is the armor on the very upper front plate is thinner than in the MBT-2000 for some reason. I don’t have access to my PC right now, but as I remember, the MBT-2000 has about 45mm thickness of steel on the plate around the drivers hatch, but for some reason it’s only 30 on the VT-4…
