Visibility is determined by what?

I wonder what are the values mean. First i thought the taller a tank is the more its visible but this makes no sense in game. When i compare the Namer Trishkon with the Puma i would assume the Namer is less visible but it is not, it has 200% and the Puma has 84%. Are this values pulled out of a russian combat helmet or do i miss something?

Percent visibility affects the Keen Vision skill results, under your crew skills. 100% means nothing changes, 200% means you are visible at DOUBLE the distance shown in the Keen Vision stat that your OPPONENT has.

Lower visibility percent is better. It reduces the range at which you become visible to your opponents. Contrary to what many people believe and still claim, this system also affects everyone in realistic battles.

Furthermore light tanks (and a few SPG’s and SPAA’s) get an increase to their Keen Vision stats due to the improved Optics modification. 30% increase to “crew’s visual range”, applied as a 30% increase to the Keen Vision skill for that vehicle’s crew slot.

Lol, “USUALLY” larger vehicles have a higher visibility percent. But sometimes this stat is used as a balancing mechanism. Which is why some vehicles with a higher or lower visibility percent make absolutely no sense. But in general it is based on the vehicle’s actual size.

i know that, thank you. my question was what exactly determines the visibility of a tank in comparison to others. Like i said if you look at the Puma it should have the same visibility as the Namer since both are equal in size.

Yeah lol, that’s going to be one of their “balancing” decisions 🤪

Unfortunately they almost never adjust the visibility stat after a vehicle is introduced. Even BR changes are fast compared to the almost non-existent visibility stat changes.

The only visibility stat change that I remember in the last years was for all the Strelas. Was something like 69% before, increased to 250% visibility.
