As we are seeing now is ASEAN countries and South North Korea vehicles are getting added into the game but we are missing out on Vietnam, I believe this addition will increase the variety of USSR tech tree as they get vehicles from another nation such as T-54M and XCB-01 or SU-30MK2

Better place Vietnamese vehicles in Chinese TT, USSR is a large TT already and has a lot of potential additions including its republics.

Imo, Vietnam should be in the Korean or Israeli tech tree.
The USSR tree doesn’t need more stuff in it, and people saying just put it under China don’t realize that Vietnamese don’t exactly like China, our last war was literally in 1979 against them, not to even mention the South China Sea.
Korea makes sense since the two countries already collaborate on military projects, and Vietnam is even buying K9 from SK.
Israel also fits because of the long list of joint projects and they’ve helped modernize T54 (T54M3, T54M), M113s, and Vietnam also bought some system like SPYDER from Israel.
Soviets could probably get those vehicles on export rules anyway. I dont see why a sub-TT would add anything of value.
Though would those addition actually add anything of value to the soviet TT that they cant get natively anyway?
USSR is better off getting Belarus or Syria, they already have a huge backlog of domestic and prototype vehicles that could fill out multiple lines. Subtrees would just be sidegrades at that point.
Actually the T-54M3 modification from israel was too expensive and Vietnam modified it by themself and there is T-54M(T-54BV), M113 of Vietnam has no use in War Thunder since they does not have tank vs tank capability, and K9 yet Vietnam hasn’t received any yet. SPYDER is not needed. So the main things are only the XCB-01(Modded BMP) and T-54M from Vietnam or also Su-30MKV and Su-30MK2
Could be value to the player base, who knows lol. The thing is most of Vietnamese player doesn’t want their vehicles to be added into Chinese TT since they are not Chinese-made vehicles or they just don’t want to grind China, most of them arr USSR main
They only downgraded it, the design still shares a lot of similarities with the Israeli upgrade, especially the FCS and internal/external layout. T-54BV maybe a domestic upgrade yes but that is not the point of what i am saying.
The K9s are already ordered and in production, just not delivered yet.

XCB-01 isn’t just a modded BMP1, it’s an entirely new vehicle built on the BMP1 base (pedantic, but you get the point).
None of these vehicles are really needed in the Soviet tree anyway, they’ve still got a dozen domestic BMPs waiting to be added. And iirc Vietnam only operates the Su-30MK2V, which still doesn’t bring anything the USSR lineup doesn’t already have or might have in the future.

Why? China and Vietnam were very unfriendly during the mid and late 70s even fighting wars with each other, they only agreed on a border in 1999 and still have regular maritime disputes. Not exactly grounds for a shared TT IMO. But it’s not like that has stopped Gaijin before.
Doesn’t need SPYDER doesn’t mean it doesn’t need Vietnamese vehicle.
