Video Evidence of Russian Bias. Experiment video for my other post. Please watch

It is not like people dos not talk about it, it is not just as common, due to lower level of flustration. The number of times BVM tanks hits that should pen and kill is gerat enough to make people very mad. Ammo not exploding is a cherry on top.

Yea. A “bug” is sth which Gajin calls: Working as intended and proceeds to close all reports about it.

This is expected and intended behaviour. But is it bias?

Never saw a thread about non-exploding ammo at lower-mid tiers, this coincides very well with the fact most of the forum seethers are permanent top tier residents, and are looking at basically everything through their “top tier glasses”.

Try playing something without HE filler and go for ammo, you’ll see how frequent this issue can be.

It’s 100% bias, sure is, right ?
Not like bugs regarding non-exploding ammo and volumetric hell are present in basically every tier and affects every nation lmao.

Is it bias?

I think the term is overused but Gaijin fuel the accusations of being Russian Bias Developer of the Year 2023* with every daft decision they make - many self-inflicted own goals. Russian teams at top tier having lots of broken toys is definitely terrible balance and the fact that a lot of ‘bugs’ seem to reoccur on Russian vehicles more so than others doesn’t help the case.

  1. Pantsir remains the strongest top-tier AA in terms of range, radar ability and having 30mms as a backup to those occasions where it’s incredibly powerful missiles aren’t enough. This limits the NATO CAS and allows Russian CAS (which is still no joke) to run amok without enemy air to worry about.

  2. The Ka-50s and Ka-52s able to tank vast amounts of damage and still be operable. The fact that they can YOLO into an enemy team first off with rockets while losing literal chunks of their airframe and still fly well enough to kill people AFTER THEY ARE TECHNICALLY DEAD is a major issue.

  3. T-80BVM - enough said. K5 does impede kinetic rounds - it should not magic them out of this dimension. It certainly shouldn’t allow an RU player to roll their face across the keyboard and tank side-shots at point-blank range as so often seems to happen.

  4. 23S8, BMP-2M, Yak-141, Su-25 - all sketchy cases of vehicles being undertiered or given abilities that are questionable ‘because Gaijin says so because reasons - no we can’t provide proof but trust us’. Yet try showing every unclassified document under the sun to the devs that yes, this NATO vehicle doesn’t have the correct armour and it’s a case of ‘nope - don’t believe you!’

  5. Russian tech trees getting new toys despite there being huge gaps in the tech trees of other nations. Did they really NEED another unknown-to-anyone-outside-Russia object 12343546 (whatever number) when Japan lacks a top-tier AA, the UK it’s CVRT light tanks, the Germans their best MBT models, or the US SEP Abrams actually having the armour it should have? No? Here’s another Su-25 because the Russian tech-tree obviously needs more stuff.

  6. Played low-tier recently around the T-34 scourge? Ever noticed how the 85mm guns seemed to manage to perform waaaaaaaaaay above their peers thanks to the slope modifiers that Gaijin accidentally programmed in?

  7. Top tier win-rates being hilariously high for the USSR by every public metric we have for years. ‘But Thunderskill isn’t a good sample!’ comes the squealed reply… Show me some data of comparable scope and sample size and prove me wrong.

A Russian top-tier player has a metric tonne of good MBTs, good light tanks and IFVs, great AA, excellent helicopters and decent aircraft. It has been that way for years and Gaijin doesn’t seem overly keen to give other tech trees the tools to counteract this.

The reddit threads, forum threads and every other social media outlet is pretty consistent in the belief that Russian Bias is a thing. If the bias and BS were shared equally among all the nations you’d see a far wider variety of complaints about far more than one nation in particular. Oddly enough I haven’t seen anyone complaining GB is stomping top-tier, that the Italians are OP or that the French Leclerc is too strong. Funny that…

One or two of the above examples - sure - it’s a game and omissions creep in. Hell, you could argue that they overtune Russian stuff because they believe whatever the Russian sources say (because obviously in Russia nobody ever tells porkies, right Komrade?)

All of the above and over the course of several years? No wonder people cry foul - it stinks of national favouritism at best, flagrant wishful thinking and bias at the very worst.

*Yes - it is functionally a Russian company with Russian staff, Russian devs and Russian Management. A lot of the additions are aimed at the Russian Market with a Russian emphasis when it comes to new mechanics, vehicles, etc. Wonder why they run their dev streams in RUSSIAN with RUSSIANS presenting it? Having a management address in Hungary for tax reasons doesn’t change the facts on the ground.

By the way - the usual Copenik responders need not reply. I find trying to converse with bots so tiresome…

Still using TS as evidence after all those years.

Gaijin is literally proving you wrong by doing nothing for years. Guess what, maybe actual, full data isn’t as terrible as that site with bogus data pretends it to be.
By the way - people that are screeching for balance just because of TS data need not reply.

“<10mm plate protects against spall sometime as big in diameter as half of the projectile that created them, launched @ 1000m/s”

“I want a realistic game as close to reality as possible, but surely the game is not ready for 140mm apfsds or modern 120mm ammo (M829A4, SHARD)”

“I want a realistic game but top attack , NLOS atgms are too op to come right now”

“if you think a russian mbt is op in game you’re a russian fanboy”

see a pattern in all the quotes above ?

instead of handholding t-80’s and 72’s, they could have added t90m, t14, and their equivalent, be it prototypes or more advanced versions of western mbts

No. Gajin did everything in their power for years to keep accurate data from the players.
They did the opposite of nothing. They actively and continuously prevent players from accessing data on vehicles and other players.
They actively obscure the data they provide to make it as meaningless as possible.

That is, again, the opposite of "nothing”.

Whereas in other games, like CoD, WarGaming titles, every Battle Royal ever, Battlefield, or any other PvP game out there, user data, performance data, and analysis of this data are either provided directly by the company or via third parties with support from the developers, Gajin stands all alone in their repeated efforts to keep this from happening.

They do not have a single valid reason to do so. They claim it would be harmful to the game and community, despite the opposite being true in every other case.

So why is anyone surprised that Gaijin is labeled as an untrustworthy, user-unfriendly and biased developer?

We do not even get patch notes, let alone extensive patch notes. What we get is at best whatever the PR person remembered after 5 shots of vodka and whatever the translator then could deciper.
The Russians get something that at least resembles patch notes but is still a far cry from true patch notes listing every change as it should be. Shortened versions are fine, but the full list needs to be provided.

In short, Gaijin is purposefully keeping players in the dark. And the only proven reason they do that is to make players more susceptible to confusion and manipulation.

Edit: Corrected millions of mistakes in grammar and punctuation

^^What he said.

There is also the cultural side of things. The Russian mentality is ‘the Company knows best’ when it comes to basic customer services. They also tend to be really cagey about sharing information unless they absolutely, definitely, almost dragged kicking-and-screaming; have to. ‘Because why would our players need to know this stuff, right?’

Just look at Kirill’s very tone-deaf and poorly worded response when the review-bombing started - a sort of ‘Don’t review bomb us! Who do you think you are? Paying customers?’ sentiment that just kicked the wasps nest even more. Gaijin deserve some credit for how they eventually tried to fix things in that instance.

Trouble is - Gaijin is dealing with Westerners. Who truly are a pain in the bum (yep - no argument on that account) but who also don’t subscribe to the model that the devs always know best, always make the best decisions, etc. Western consumers complain when they feel wronged (whether correct or incorrect in that feeling). They especially complain when they feel that the odds are stacked against them.

Just ask EA and how Battlefront II’s launch went so jolly well… piddle off your playerbase at your peril!

You didn’t understand what I was trying to say.
They did absolutely nothing to help with the “unbalance”.

You seem to have a lot of strong and negative feelings about them. If this was me, I wouldn’t be playing this game anymore, let alone trying to “fix” something I clearly can’t.

They are using those stats to balance the vehicles with. Publishing exact numbers can be harmful to vehicles that aren’t very popular and have limited matches played every month.

Okay, so when you shoot the projectile in, let’s say a Brummbär, that has either HEAT or HE, and it just disappears along with the 5 other shells next to it should be the absolute bias toward germany.
You know, those 150mm HE/HEAT projectiles have multiple kgs of explosive in them…
Or the Chi-Ha 120, with it’s 120mm shells. There is the ‘last stage’ ammo rack, which has 18 (or 16, i dont care tbh) shells modelled as 1, and 90% of the time, if you shoot it, it just disappears. The combined explosive mass in them is like 40kg. Proof of the ultimate japanese bias.
Oh wait…

I get my ass kicked so much on 6.3 BR or 4.7, dunno what u mean :P

T-90M is 12.0, and T-14 is 12.3 - 12.7 most likely.
T-80s & T-72s aren’t being handheld. T-80BVM has a weaker turret than 11.3s, just a stronger hull than all other 11.7s.
HHRA was shadow fixed on spalling.

Which is good, if players were given data they’d use it to exploit wins.

I’m surprised people label Gaijin biased when Sweden & USA have the best ground lineups in the game as a Hungarian company. With KF-41 being broken.

We get changelogs AKA patchnotes every patch, and they’re detailed. Next time don’t actively post a lie.

@Crazed_Otter Krill said to use the special form instead for constructive criticism.
Which they only received a bit over 15,000 responses.

I will make this clear. I do not want to start a fight with you. I will explain my point now. Ammo blacking out insted of exploding is a thing. All ammo in game have a % chance of exploding, some higher some lower. In case of russian top tier tanks people say it use the two stage ammo, so the projectile should not explode. That is a false. And when it comes to rage and russian tanks hate spam it is because of one tank. The BVM. I can say it openly, that thing survive what it should not. I had like 4 day ago 3 of my shorts (L27A1) eaten by the era blocks, and then the round passed carousel, doing nothing. I am not alone in this. And that tank is causing all these emotions to gather and boil. Ammo not exploding is a cherry on top that makes people lose temper. Also if i remember correctly there are values in data that determine explosions chance t80 have 15% to do, while for example my CR2 has 50%. Im not sure of they were confirmed to be true or no, but if so it seems a little unfair. And yes i know other tanks also had 15%.

I am not talking about this. It is not about realism. ANY AND ALL 2 PIECE AMMO DOES IT. No matter if you shoot a 150mm HE projectile in a Brummbär, or even the 183mm HESH on the Shitbarn, it will often just black out.
This is not evidence for russian bias, because it is not exclusive to russian tanks.

It’s called “volumetric”. This happens on literally any tank. Yesterday my M4A1’s mantlet ate a shot from a Sturer Emil at point blank.
It does not mean chinese/americal bias.
Or when the Tiger’s driver port casually eats DM53…

Again, happens to every tank.
image
Why is it not german bias? Why dont all of you cry about it too?
My 6kg+ shell passed trhough the MG operator and did nothing.
This is obviously german bias, and Gaijin clearly supports the Austrian Painter and his ideologies!
Gaijin exposed!
Oh wait…

This is not bias, it is just massive incompetence from the devs and/or management.
We still have bugs that are in the game for like 7 years by now (Like the “You cannot buy more” bug).

This can’t be more true. Volumetric mess and shells blacking out are present in literally every tier of the game, but somehow it’s only an issue when it affects top tier vehicles.

Strange that it works in every other game tho.
Again this is not anywhere near a valid reason. And providing access via thris parties to stats would not hinder this in any way. It might even help.
Not every vehicle needs to perform on the same level. some can be underpowered, other can be a bit OP. That is what you call meta.
Right now the players expect every vehicle to be of the same power. because that is what Gaijin claims they want and what they claim their stat based balancing is for. With absolutely no way for the players to follow along and make meaningfull suggestions.

How? Like that makes zero sense and I already disproven in my statement from which you took that quote.

Those are a joke. Those are not Patch notes. They are accurately labeled as “Change logs” which is not a patch note.
for exampler this is a full and comprehensive Patchnote listing every minute change in the game for a single, non major patch
WoT Patch 1.22

What we have and what you posted is an abreviation with some changes.

Does it list the Changes to Tank MGs? Does it list the changes to specific map objects like walls, fences, houses. Which ones are affected where they are, if just a single on is affected for example and so on. There are probably more than 100 changes just from the Sons of Atilla update alone which are not mentioned in the patchnotes yet have significant implications for the gameplay.

Again we have no Patchnotes in War Thunder and claiming otherwise is an intentional lie.

Why are you still here? You don’t own any of these high-tier tanks. Evacuate the thread instead of polluting it. People even told you that the BVM has an invisible piece of armor around the carousel that not only doesn’t spall but also eats all of the spalling.

This is probably something you would know if you actually had a single high-tier tank and played there.

What is that unhinged wall of text even supposed to hint at?

We gave you many elements but you quite simply refuse to accept them and continue with your ramblings.

You want to debate a topic you have 0 experience in and thus do not understand. Don’t be surprised when people dismiss your uneducated opinion on this subject. Your words would have a lot more weight if you had actual experience regarding the subject being talked about. From there, you ad hominem us like a kid because you’re the one with 0 solid arguments.

So if i give you 100 different books about Star Wars, it will mean that the stories in it are true?
No matter how many bad paoints you make, they will not make it true.

Again, why don’t you address my points?
If i am so “uneducated”, and you are so smart, it should be really easy for you!
