I’m gonna beat the dead horse once more, but methinks that plugging the gearbox as it should be onto Gaijin’s vision of an engine and ground linkage, it was certainly optimistic for it to turn out positive.
Not to mention that the gearboxes behave like the worst robotic gearbox that was ever cooked at the turn of the millenia, a far cry from the feel of a proper automatic gearbox. Then again, where torque ?
don’t forget the RAD90 also 9.7 in GFAB, slower turret, better depression, beter round better turret armor, better mobility.
Currently spading it, very disappointed, switching direction takes forever, for the gearbox to switch that is.
Round is pathetic. While i dont have the CHN wheely boy ZLT-11, it also get 491mm round, ATGM, HE-vt for choppers, it has 10 hp/t less, so worse mobility, and -1 less gun depression, but gets 130mm more pen.
And however you slice it penetration allows you to destroy vehicles, either by brute force or allowing penetration at steeper angles. None of the wheely boys around this BR are very survivable, with maybe the Class 3(p) as the exception.
And if you look at the USSR TT which has no Wheely boys but they get 2S25 and 2S25M, one lower and one also at that BF in GFAB, one get 3BM42 @ 451mm, the other 3BM60 @ 580 mm, but no FRA can’t get a competitive round.

Especially since it’s a weird mechanics. Gaijin only ever add those kind of weird and one of a kind mechanics to Russian vehicles. But at least we made it

At 42:03: “This should give you a nice option for your 10.0 line-up”… I’m confused, is the 10.0 line-up in the room with us?
So @Smin1080p_WT, can we expect the Vextra 105 to be given OFL 105 F2 this update so there can actually be a 10.0 line-up (never mind that all the viable CAS is at 10.3)? And what of the other inaccuracies for the Vextra which were reported during the dev server?
And why is France getting this Swedish copy-and-paste? Leftovers from Sweden? I know it must be a completely radical and crazy idea, but how about giving France an - I don’t know - French IFV? As an example, if the devs really couldn’t be bothered modelling an entirely new vehicle then why not add the Toutatis which performs the exact same function as the CV9035 and was a French testbed for their future EBRC and VBCI programs?

Hopefully, this step forward with the VEXTRA in the Light tank branch will eventually lead to the Jaguar…
Too soon however, would mean arbitrary, illogical nerf decisions for “balancing reasons”. So, you know. I’d rather have it come when the game’ll be ready for it (not that it ever stopped Gaijin from taking, well… arbitrary decisions.)
(At which point, I at least expect it to have a cage armor add-on. That would be nice.)

Sorry to be a bother since I guess you must be drowned in pings wi5 the the dev and teaser from yesterday.
Just wanted to ask what was the dev’s position on the vextra’s historical accuracy (round, commander thermal…) now that the CV9035 is coming at 10.0.
I’m surprised because you told us they did not want the vextra to be above 9.7 because it would lack a lineup, thus they artificially nerfed it.
Meanwhile when adding the CV9035NL, the current BR is 10.0. I know, not final, but probably is considering that the one is the Swedish tree is 9.7 and missing key upgrades compared to the French one.
I find it even more baffling considering devs could have just copy pasted the Swedish one (no armor add on, no IRST, since they both should use IRST and it was refused for some reason on the Swedish variant, but arrives on the NL one), and have it a 9.7 instead of being alone at 10.0.
While the vextra been unrealistic sole reason was for it to not be alone in a higher tier lineup

Yep, there’s 9 other unique VBCIs that are still to be added. Then there’s a few slightly different variations you could get away with. I wonder if we’ll get them within the next decade…
