Too soon however, would mean arbitrary, illogical nerf decisions for “balancing reasons”. So, you know. I’d rather have it come when the game’ll be ready for it (not that it ever stopped Gaijin from taking, well… arbitrary decisions.)
(At which point, I at least expect it to have a cage armor add-on. That would be nice.)

Just wanted to ask what was the dev’s position on the vextra’s historical accuracy (round, commander thermal…) now that the CV9035 is coming at 10.0.
I’m surprised because you told us they did not want the vextra to be above 9.7 because it would lack a lineup, thus they artificially nerfed it.
Meanwhile when adding the CV9035NL, the current BR is 10.0. I know, not final, but probably is considering that the one is the Swedish tree is 9.7 and missing key upgrades compared to the French one.
I find it even more baffling considering devs could have just copy pasted the Swedish one (no armor add on, no IRST, since they both should use IRST and it was refused for some reason on the Swedish variant, but arrives on the NL one), and have it a 9.7 instead of being alone at 10.0.
While the vextra been unrealistic sole reason was for it to not be alone in a higher tier lineup

Yep, there’s 9 other unique VBCIs that are still to be added. Then there’s a few slightly different variations you could get away with. I wonder if we’ll get them within the next decade…

isn’t that because France gets the BENELUX sub tree, with the Netherlands, it uses CV9035NL, with possible MLU variant for regular TT, fingers crossed ;)
Yeah but no one really wanted the Netherlands as a sub-tree never mind straight-up copy paste from Sweden especially if it supplants French additions. France is now the only nation without a high-tier light tank despite having some of the most to offer.

Yess, drop the dutch for the swiss and their plethora of light armor. The Swiss leopard 2s can bugger off to germany, but the wheelies and stuff can be French.
Pz58 variants… probably should be French just as gap filler/tanks with stabs. Most of Germany at 8.7 to 9.0 is stabilized, while there is a grand total of one french vehicle (so far) with a stab before 9.0+. And it can’t even shoot on the move to take advantage of that.
This image is far too accurate to so many feelings towards that addition.
There are still quite a few stabilised AMX 30s that could come between 8.3 - 9.7 such as the AMX 30 SAMM, AMX 30 V, two AMX 30 valorise(s), and a few more.
All I hope is that France doesn’t get screwed out of the Franco-Swiss projects such as the Pz. 68 SAMM and Shark FL-20.
BeNeLux is a pretty bad subtree since Luxembourg doesn’t actually add anything and the Netherlands doesn’t add anything that’s interesting.

Yeah, agreed. Personally, I had hoped for a “minor euro” tree to feature swiss (and BeNeLux) tech in their own area. But having the franco-swiss projects in the FR tree (and specifically absent from Germany) is a good enough compromise for me. Belgium and Switzerland don’t have a nice short word to describe them both for a subtree, but I prefer those two to be featured alongside french tech the most. Germany can have the Dutch copypasta.
Rattles me bones that some people think Germany is in need of all Swiss vehicles ever produced. The second most gluttonous tree in the game needs more bloody tanks, and aircraft with zero affiliation? No, they bloody don’t.

BeNeLux ground alone would’ve been anaemic with inevitable BR compression. But a BeNeLux with Austrian and Swiss sub-trees could’ve been do-able.
But I think Belgium is a good addition for France, mostly because I’m rather partial to all the cool things Cockerill cooks up. And now that Arquus has been sold off to Cockerill, we’ll see a lot more interesting and potent vehicles now that the French MIC will be fully on board. Can’t wait to see what is cooked up for the VBAE.
