VEXTRA 105 - Still not EXTRAordinary

do you realize that the penetrations proposed for the f2 nearly has the same performance as the dtw on the zlt? in the case that the vextra get it is would make it just better than the zlt, it arguably is already even with the f1.

Why are you guys insisting in the ZLT11 comparison like it’s power creeping the Vextra? The ZLT11 has better firepower and that’s it, the Vextra has the edge on everything else. Even the layout of the components is more refined.
In the end, the French mains should have the final word on the balancing of the vehicle that they play, so I support them if they want a better shell, but let’s not be dishonest and say the ZLT11 is better as it is right now.

Was about to say, leave the ZLT out of those comparisons, even with a much better dart it’s still hot garbage to play in most situations. Not until they fix the mobility on it.

yes make it unique for france
we already get shat on with the leclerc at least give us a proper light tank that has a good shell

Take the Vextra to 11.7? You must be crazy. Even if the Vextra stays at 9.7, it can’t compete with the M1 and Leopard 2A4. I’ve carefully aimed at the M1 more than once, fired at its weak points, and then got killed by the M1. If you think this should happen, how do you explain the 3BM60 of the 2S25SDM1 and the M900 of the M1128? Providing the Vextra with F2 shells and moving it to 10.0 should be a no-brainer.

he means if you wanted a lineup you would have to bring it with the Leclercs or uptier the 9.7s

Well good luck with F1 shell, meanwhile M1128 and Sprut-M can easily deal with 11.7 thanks to M900 and 3BM60.

its not going to 11.7?

Neither M1128 or Sprut-M but both vehicles does have really good rounds, unlike Vextra105.

Sprut, and Stryker, are 10.0. Both have toptier rounds (I’ll need to double check stryker but sprut 100% does). Even with F2, Vextra would not have a better gun. The rooikat premium for Britain is at 9.3. It has a better round than the 9.7 vextra, with comparable mobility.

Vextra doesn’t make sense without F2.

If you insist on keeping the Vextra 105 at 9.7, then at least provide it with DM33 ammunition as a modification, the main gun of the Vextra uses standard NATO ammunition. I simply can’t understand why the Vextra has to use ammunition with a penetration power of 360mm at 9.7, it can just take my hands off the keyboard when facing the Leopard 2A4 and M1. It not only can’t penetrate the turrets of these two at zero distance, but it can’t even reliably penetrate their weak points, that is, the lower front. Even if I have better skills, discover the enemy first, fire first, but get killed by the enemy, this makes me completely not want to play the Vextra.

Its a quite fun vehicle at 9.7 even as stock (tho i bought sabot and thermals with ge), problem is its only fun when you use against 8.7-9.7 with F1 Shell.

It will start to struggle with F1 shell at uptier.

i dont understand your guy’s points i agree it should get the better round

Vextra has an overwhelming mobility and survivability advantage over the M1128 and 2S25M, also having a gigantic gun handling advantage over the 2S25M and a maneuverability advantage over the M1128.

It’s absolutely fine at 9.7 with the current shell it has, especially when compared to the Radpanzer 90 and the piece of trash that is the ZLT11.

Get out.

We want to see Vextra105 at 10.3 with F2, not at 9.7 with crippled firepower.

There is no way in hell it should sit at only 0.3 higher BR than the M1128 and 2S25M with a ~490 mm pen shell, while being vastly better and more suited for War Thunder purposes. Keep dreaming.

You dont even know what you’re talking about.

-M1128 does have crewless turret,M900 and commander thermals with same gun handling

-2S25M does also have commander thermals better mobility for CQC and reverse speed and 3BM60.

Then again you’re the same guy who coped so hard when Chally DS recieved L26 and bumped to 10.3.

I don’t remember commenting about the Challenger, but whatever, that isn’t even the point of this thread or my previous comments…

If you ever even played the M1128, you would realise that its huge profile and garbage depression mean that the “crewless” turret isn’t even a huge advantage for most maps, and commander optics are useless, there isn’t even a point bringing that up. The mobility advantage and tighter turn radius of the Vextra is infinitely more meta and more useful.

2S25M is definitely more maneuverable in close combat, but again has trash tier vertical elevation speed which will get you killed in a lot of situations. The only thing this trash has going for it is the high pen round and decent mobility, which is still worse than tanks with a similar HP/tonne ratio because of the poor gear ratios, and again, much worse overall mobility than the Vextra since it isn’t wheeled.

And here you are telling me I don’t know what I’m talking about when you’re not even listing anything important in the gameplay, how about playing the vehicles first?

Vextra also has pretty big profile and garbage depression so your excuses doesnt justify anything.

Have you ever heard pre aiming? Russian players are always use to this.

It has better reverse speed, neutral steering and similiar mobility, Vextra’s true mobility only shines on big maps.

Ah Yes those factors are not important for overall gameplay right?

Seriously man stop embrassing yourself already…

Your understanding of this game is so low that it’s laughable. The 2S25M is a tracked light tank with a second-generation thermal imaging commander’s periscope, which means it has the ability to turn in place, hydropneumatic suspension, and a forward-leaning turret ring, meaning its depression angle is greater than -7 degrees. It also has a power-to-weight ratio of 28 and an automatic loader, and a shell with a penetration depth of 580mm. Meanwhile, the Vextra does not have a thermal imaging commander’s periscope, and only has a power-to-weight ratio of 25, a rear turret, a -6 degree depression angle, and even with a shell with a penetration depth of 489mm, it can’t be considered OP at 10.0. Finally, you haven’t played the current Vextra 105, and it’s ridiculous that you’re here pointing fingers and claiming that the Vextra is ‘absolutely fine’ even in its current state.
