Vehicle research points

so i’ve been playing with the M1A1 AIM to research the US tech tree but the vehicle research points are so low, is there a problem ?

Yes,you are researching low rank with high. There is research penalty.

As said above, there is a penalty for reaching a vehicle at a much higher/lower tier, it’s better to use a vehicle either at the same tier or the tier above/below.
