With HE-VT, definitely worthy of being the same BR. Without it? 8.0 seems reasonable.
A suggestion I saw was giving it full APDS and moving to 10.0, which isn’t strange since everyone uses the itpsv as a light tank anyway (at least before this change to the VEAK…)

Better Anti-tank rounds because it AP-HE. And the radar is allright actually. Very fast search rate and also pinpoint locking when aiming.
Compared to the ZSU-37-2 that is.
Oh against the ZSU-57-2? I dont even count that as antiair. Low firerate just makes it extremely ineffective in that role. Meanwhile the Veak 40 without he-vt still has favorable aspects in contrast to the Itpsv90

Can you remind me how many matches you must play to promote the M247 from a glorified 7.7 SPAA to a mediocre 9.0?
I can tell you that it’s almost 10x that of the VEAK, and you’re still stuck with less capability than the 7.7 version of the VEAK.
At 9.0
I’d take the VEAK 40 over the York any day. You only get 420 rounds, sure, but ALL of them can be HE-VT, which is almost 200 rounds more than the York. Not only that, but you have incredible AP rounds for self defense. And you have better movement. The only thing the York has is better Hull armor, which is functionally useless since it’s a OHK if you hit the turret.

Again, do you get your HE-VT as a T1 mod, or do you need to put dozens, if not hundreds, of matches in with basic bitch HE at 9.0?

9.0s face GBs, Bullpups, NORDs, etc. much more often than any 7.7 ever will lol. I’d take the VEAK at 7.7 over the York at 9.0 these days tbh.
Yeah sure smoke, HE-VT, and Tracking Radar independent of Search, but none of those matter if you can’t hit your target since they are so far away in the first place lol.
