you know, I know, everybody knows that blaming the maps dont work, on one game you have CQB and after sniping game. Gaijin didnt implement something that you can ban multiple maps, so any tank can and NEED do good under any circumstances or this game is not BALANCED.
I think that if gaijin implement a better matchmaking, good part of the complain on US will cease, until there we need a better balanced abrams.

33% of the MBTs are average at best
33% of the MBTs are beneath the rest
The Abrams falls into the lower end of the second category… so no, they aren’t THE WORST… but they are still barely a far cry from what they should actually be.
Lets be honest since this game was developed in Russia the American tanks in this game are going to be bad!
Well Abrams works best in CQC, one of the reasons good players used it in 2019 and 2020.
If I got Advance to the Rhine and USA was on the enemy team… loss.
It’d be different on maps like Euro Province.
They are just very good at flanking but I don’t know how you feel, I just feel the survivability sucks in comparison to BVM or STRV 122B, which should all go to 12.7 even the 122A since they all have spall liner.

The sccreenshots in the op in general are just weird. M829A2 can easily pen the BVM and ZTZ LFP, while 3BM60 can also easily pen the M1A2 LFP. Yet all LFPs don’t show as green.
It’s an armor viewer bug. I however don’t understand why OP didn’t edit the post with correct pictures.
These bugged pics really diminish the visual impact and value of the point being made.

The Strv 122s should all be 12.7 in this scenario, they are in no way counterparts to the Leopard 2 PSO lol.
Ironic, the same thing could be said for people who can’t go at least positive in their M1A2s.
I once met a leopard 2A5 with ~1200 games, ~1200 deaths and ~400 kills. I thought that was already an achievement, but the figures above are almost impressive.
Seems like nothing much has changed in 2 yeras. I find it interesting when thinking about what nation to play as at Top tier.
When talking about minor nations it’s also important to note that minor nations usually make up a smaller part of the total team and thus are also dependant on who they get matched with. They also have a chance to be paired with other big nations from time to time.
Even if you look at the somewhat questionable WT heatmap or just personal winrates. It’s obvious that minor nations that get matched with Russia (China) and Germany/Sweden (Italy) a lot also show a higher winrate, while minor nations that get matched with the US (UK, Israel) show a lower winrate.
I’m not denying that there is a massive issue with bad players in US teams, because that is definitely true, but in the end there is a reason why German/Swedish teams win so much (besides bad US teams). This reason is that the 2A7s and Strv 122 are just such easy mode tanks that fit the war thunder meta absolutely perfectly.
If there is a team with 7-8 2A7s/Strv 122s with some italian players tagging along, sure the italian players are very good, but their chance of winning was already a lot higher before the game even began.

I thought the PSO had additional hull armor so I put it at 12.3 initially, I was corrected somewhere above though. Generally, I wanted to keep 12.7 to just the 2A7V/HU, Strv 122B+, T-90M, and T-80BVM (in terms of MBTs at least).
This is my experience in 7.0-9.0; I’m not an amazing (Italian) Ground Player, yet I have a ~55% win rate on a lot of my vehicles at these BRs because of how often I get matched with Russia (where in my experience, at 7.0-9.0, Russia being on your team [with their very low BR ERA and stabilized tanks] is responsible for 70% of your chance of winning).
T-90M is not on the same level as any others. T-80BVM sure, but T-90M could definitely be 11.3

Let me illustrate: M1A2 SEP vs T-80BVM.
M1A2 SEP: 355mm KE armor
T-80BVM: 750mm KE armor
M1A2 SEP: 629mm pen
T-80BVM: 580mm pen
So…
580mm pen > 355mm armor (BVM’s shell defeats SEP’s armor)
629mm pen < 750mm armor (BVM’s armor defeats SEP’s shell)
So… even though T-80BVM has less pen than M1A2 SEP, T-80BVM can slice through M1A2 SEP like a hot knife through butter, while M1A2 SEP can’t penetrate T-80BVM’s armor (beyond weakspots) with M829A2, the same way it can’t with M829A1 or the same way it couldn’t with M829A3.
In fact: T-80BVM armed only with 3BM42 would still be able to kill a SEP more easily than a SEP could kill the T-80BVM with M829A3.
