USA needs AGM-154C with IR not the GNSS version!

so i guess AGM-84H/K is the only hope, since its IR seeker is based on the late Maverick ones. at least there is now precedent with KD-88 and other jet powered missiles.

still, AGM-154C may have a chance of tracking tank size targets but we need more evidence

I mean for the 154C part we already know it and C-1 can only track stationary land targets.

Not sure about SLAM/SLAMER though, but since they’re MITL I’d say it’s at least unlikely for SLAM to be capable of it.

it says it has moving target capability, and since its a land attack missile that means its very likely talking about land targets.

the base AGM-84E uses a modified AGM-65F seeker which has moving target capability, and the H/K are straight upgrades over the E

Nope, baseline capability for the AGM-154 is that moving target capability is provided by the datalink.

The F16CM double Pylon or known as BRU-57/A Smart rack got passed Community Bug Reporting System

“baseline capability” doesn’t imply service models ever received such things, this document predates JSOW-A/A1 and B, all of which are only capable of striking static targets no?

How would the datalink even be updated?
