Styruggling at 5.0 Ground RB with USA. Not sure which tanks to use and which to go for, any suggestions are appreciated. Also looking for a good CAS.
This works, but it has event vehicles and premiums. I’d just build a 5.3 or 5.7 lineup if I were you.
what about a 6.0 with the M18?
I don’t think the M18s are worth the extra pain.
USA has only one primary vehicle at battle rating 5.0, either you go to battle rating 5.3 to have access to a wider option of close air support airplanes and other vehicles or go to battle rating 4.7;
For you, you’ll be restricted to M6A1, M4A1 (76) W for ground and P-51D-30, A-26B-10 and B-17G-60-VE bit honestly you shouldn’t use a huge striker aircraft and a bomber in ground battles when you can have the same efficiency in a smaller and faster fighter.

Yeah, definetly meant to progress, I’m just stuck at 5.0 as of now, almost got the M18 though which will push me to 6.0
For my 5.7 line I start with the M4A3 (76). For my 5.0 line I usually start with the M4A1.
The m18s are rough. They bounce like crazy, they have the same gun as the shermans, and no stabilizer. People say it’s worth it for the speed, but imho you lose a lot more than you get from it.
M18 GMC are a great option specially if you like fast-paced and agressive gameplay, you should consider that, at the same time you’ll have access to planes like Douglas AD-4; which despite the size has a good options of weapons specially magnetic mines if Gaijin didn’t changed nothing, small yet deadly weapons.
Thanks, last question, mostly focused on just progressing to top tier, what would be a good tank to go for next?
Either the M4A2 76 or M4A3E2. Both have pros and cons. The M4A3E2 has good armor, but a weak gun. The M4A2 76 has meh armor and a pretty good gun. I would say, if your good at hitting weak spots, go for the M4A3E2. I would personally recommend it.
You should not progress to 6.0/6.3 until you have unlocked the M36B2. It is a hard carry in uptiers with its HEATFS.
90 millimeter APHE is also a ton of fun to use at that br. One shots almost everything, save for in full up tiers.
