the FEP has gen 2 thermal and quote on quote “better protection”, but thats all i know
oh and i have documents of it so if they do wanna add M1A1 FEP in the future then id bug report it if its necessary

The FEP would have armor about on par with the M1A1 HC. The main upgrade was to the FCS.

Sorry no, the M1A2 SEP v2 has Gen 2 thermals for both gunner and commander. Gen 3 thermals are not planed until SEP V4.
