USA bullying of everyone else In top tier sim

on level. at least untill you became zomber

theyre connected in this case.

Btw, funny how you talking about Sim with only 3 battles in top-tier air sim

The 1v6 fights can be a little annoying. You try to target one guy and suddenly there’s three more shooting at you from different directions. I don’t think it’s a quality of vehicles problem, the only nation suffering there is Russia, every other nation on the team has good planes (or just American planes) but because Russian planes suck you’re left with just the minor nations which means there’s way less players.

Nice stats check bro , I am a ground main not even air. But then again US/Jap/France are not the only nation in the game , why gotta bring three nation up like game have 3 nation only ? USSR top tier is mid , Germany have non , the F4 ICE is not a good jet. Brit have one and Swed have one , US main gotta bring up the most irrelevant point to prove their stand for whatever reason

I’m still waiting for the J-10A to get a proper HUD so I can finally use a decent jet in the Red team. (no, I don’t want to play Taiwan Mirage)

J-10A HUD has errors ,missing radar information on HUD. // Gaijin.net // Issues

USA - topic thread.
Japan/France - one of most popular nations on red side with US jets.

well, ice fights against stuff like F-14A

well, not me bringed point about amount of toptier jets - thats was you.

That a big cope , you afraid to talk about other nation other than those two , being on the same team doesn’t prove anything and US still dominating in Air and given how they got those two on Blue team it is even worse

So ? It is still a mid top tier jet

Because thread is about 6.7+ and above because even if we go lower it is basically the same story. You offer me nothing beside cherry picking and pointless argument to say US is not strong in Air Sim. Why bother bro , all yap no bite

others mostly doesnt have US jets, on which youre complaining

it isnt top in 50% of time…

BR isnt connected to amount of planes.

where id say that?
it is strong, aswell as few other nations, like Japan

This situation has been happening for a long time! Nothing gonna change, since sim is far not main mode in this game.
And the reason sim being not popular is because of disbalanced and horrible gameplay.
Path is cycled.
Just relax and try to adapt to it.
For example, I create my own missions, where I play most of the time when I do not need to open or upgrade new vehicle.

He brings it up because he only plays USA and quits the game anytime the enemy team has the capability of fighting back.

I have played sim for countless hours across most tech tress and most battle ratings. This is straight up a community problem; the USA tech tree is probably the most handheld in Air Sim of any of the tech trees out there. And no matter how many times that it is pointed out and no matter how many examples are given…USA-only players are going to say that it’s actually fair because of a number of reasons.

Let’s go over the common reasons that are definitely going to come up in this thread.

1. It’s because USA spends the most on it’s Air Force and art imitates real life.
War Thunder is a video game first and foremost. Nobody enjoys being waffle stomped into the ground based on an arbitrary technology difference.

2. Acktually Russia has newer planes.
USA’s current planes are a mix-master of current date features with different radars. Usually when this is brought up…people will point out newer ground attackers like the Su-39 fighting planes that are significantly older than it…guess what else fights planes that are significantly older…the A-10C…and it’s a far better plane in EC.

3. USA Planes are just more popular.
Plane popularity in sim is extremely related to how well the plane performs in the game mode. You do not see a lot of British Tornado F.3s at top tier compared to Gripens…why is that? It’s because the Gripen is far more suited to the game mode at its tier.

There is also no real correlation to media presence and popularity. Anyone that played during the MiG-23 era of War Thunder knows that…people didn’t all of a sudden become very interested in it because of it’s legendary reputation for being a mediocre plane…people played it because it was the best thing in the game.

4. Red Side has better planes because Japan / France have F-15/F-16 Variants
Japan will never fight against France in Air Sim; it is not one of the allowed match-ups. On top of that the only plane that is better is the Japanese F-15C compared to the USA one and that is because of the ability to carry the AAM-4. The French F-16A is worse than the F-16C due to having a worse radar and not having radar HMD; the only place it is better is going to be in a 1v1 dogfight with guns only; and even then that will come down to mostly player skill and fuel quantity.

5. The J-10 Is The Best Aircraft In The Game.
China is gaining popularity but it also does not make up the bulk of red side teams…and the J-10 has it’s own limitations. It does not have any targeting indicators in the HUD and it’s flight performance outside of turning capability at low speed is basically on par with the F-16C.

The real best plane in the game is the F-15E; there is no other plane that can climb and accelerate like it does. There is also no equivalent plane on red side that can take a mixed air-to-air and air to ground loadout that will have nearly the same capabilities. The F-15E can carry 26 fire-and-forget air-to-ground munitions while also carrying a good quantity of AMRAAM. The Su-34 is nowhere near equal from even a pure air-to-ground role unless we are strictly talking about SB Ground battles which most people do not play.

6. Red Side does bad because they prioritize PvP and don’t play the objective/quit too fast.
If you play red side…you will be forced to prioritize PvP because you will get a lot more pressure from just much more numerous blue side players. Red side players tend to be much better at PvP and playing the game in general at top tier because the only ones that are willing to consistently play against bad odds are people that are genuinely try-harding. There are no casual USSR players anymore to pad out the numbers like there are with USA players.

The actual effort that is required to win a game in the USSR side is orders of magnitude greater than what is required of USA player. Basically the only way that USSR wins a game is if they contest and win most available objectives while also having to fend off a horde of USA players. The fact that there are far fewer casual red side players also means that USA players are not able to find available games at all times so that at any one time when a player on USA side quits…a new one will join. Or whenever a new red side player shows up to the game…that opens 2 slots for blue players.

Most of the casual players and most of the above average players have switched to almost exclusively playing on the blue side of the matchmaker. Which…can you honestly blame them? You will win 90% of your games just by playing USA unless you constantly run into the one lobby that is filled with the sweatiest red side players imaginable.

Almost no matter what tier you play USA…you will have some of the best vehicles. People a month ago were arguing that the A-10C was entirely fair at BR 11.3 and that the MiG-23MLD moving down was also going to completely destroy the USA player-base at those tiers. There are so many planes in the USA tech tree that are effectively broken in Sim.

Like if we start at low tier…

P-39N is basically untouchable at 3.0. Same can be said for planes like P-51, P-51C. The XP-55 is also at 3.0 with a ridiculous flight model and flight performance. On top of that…some of Japan’s strongest planes for the BR are also American premiums…like the Ki-61 and A6M2 (this is probably the best A6M for it’s BR in the game.) The best Bf.109 for it’s tier is also a US premium.

The best Spitfire for the BR is the LF IX…guess what USA has as a premium…the LF IX.

The F4U-4B is probably the best overall 5.7 aircraft in the game. It’s faster and more maneuverable than the Bf.109 K-4 and only barely worse at turning than the Ta-152H…while being much faster, having the best cannons in the game for props, and a metric ton of ammo. The only plane that really comes close to the F4U-4B in utility in an EC match is the Yak-3U…and that plane is 6.0BR.

Moving on to jets…and this is about as balanced as things get…the F-80 is probably the strongest overall starter jet that isn’t outright pay 2 win like the Su-11. The Kikka can compete in power to weight ratio but has a stick for a gunsight and limited ammo and poor turn rate. The Me.262 and Su-9 are just worse planes in every regard. The F-80C is also just a pure upgrade to it with more dry thrust and very strong but limited WEP.

It really isn’t until the 8.0 - 9.0 bracket that things become somewhat reasonable. La-15, Yak-30, and MiG-15s are all strong for the BR. F-86F is probably one of the best 8.7 planes in the game but evenly matched with MiG-15Bis. At 9.0…the F-86F-2 is outshined by the Ariete which is outright pay to win.

However once you bump up to 9.3BR…the F3H is strong but difficult to play. But there is also the F4D…and it can actually give the Ariete a run for the money and is actually faster than it. It is also just outright superior to any of the CL.13s of F-40 Sabres in the game. There is also the AV-8B with Aim-9G at 9.3 which is rather silly while being better than the Yak-38 at the same BR…but both planes are kind of a gimmick where they get to shoot good IR missiles at flareless planes.

Overall this BR range is fairly well balanced for what it is…other countries have some things that really stand out.

However once you get to 10.0…USA gets F8U-2 which has been buffed recently in the form of the wing rip changes. There is nothing that anyone has in this tier that has close to the performance and ergonomic combination that it has. The Aim-9D is essentially a caged Aim-9G and the extended range of the missile means that it doesn’t really have to close the gap against a lot of the faster platforms that it would face in a full up-tier.

The F-4E is one of the strongest 10.7s in the game…if not the strongest. It is practically seal clubbing on the days where it is 9.7-10.7 BR. Most of the planes that used to outmaneuver it consistently have had their flight models changed so that it is no longer the case. The 11.0 MiG-21s can give it a fair fight in air-to-air…and the J7E can give it an unfair fight…but those planes are all a higher BR step.

11.0 and 11.3 are really the only two steps where America might suffer due to the MiG-21 Bis being actually equal to their airplanes…and the MiG-23ML/MLD being superior to the F-4E. Planes like the F-5E can be argued to be bad because they are slow…but they are also very small and hard to see out of the cockpit of something like a MiG-23ML.

11.7 has the A-10C with datalinked IFF in the HMD, MAWSS, 4 Aim-9M, and 24 GBU-39s. The plane is very good at dogfighting and the Aim-9M means that anyone that accidentally gets within 4km of it is within danger. And this will happen quite often for most players. Most players argue that this plane should be easy to deal with…and it really is…if you only look at things purely rhetorically. In practice…an A-10 wandering around a low altitude is practically a nuclear landmine for the enemy team.

Moving on to 12.7…the F-16A sucks in theory because the big bad MiG-29 and it’s R-27ER is very scary. Except you can just completely avoid it by flying low…and you get the best flight model in the game…and you get much more useful IR missiles. Also USA gets F-14 IRAF with Fakour-90 that out-ranges R-27ER and will keep MiG-29 players stuck on the deck for most of the game. In practice…the biggest threat at this tier is the Mirage 2000 CS5/CS4.

13.0 is the same story; oh no the F-4F ICE can oppress everyone with AMRAAM…and everything can multipath them…force the merge…and kill it easily. Also USA gets its own AMRAAM carriers in the form of AV-8. The only two planes that I would consider equal to or better than the F-15A is the JAS-39A and the French F-16A.

So wait, you don’t play the game mode at hand. Yet you’re spouting off about a topic you apparently have no experience in; and the American mains are the problem.

Did you say this ironically or no?

The argument then was that, and it was true, that the F-15 lacking HMD was not a game breaking thing that made it worse, it was still better than the soviet jets.

Not saying that it made it automatically worse.

But it significantly hindered its capabilities to pull this when compared to the Gripen.

In a close fight, and preflaring? Sure. Though at BVR we all know whose missiles were the hardest to notch.

You can leave any discussion by doing this, but you can’t do it with grace.

For anyone still reading…

Pyro does not understand that the meta was strongly in favor of IR missiles. The R27ER being harder to notch rarely mattered once you understood what multipathing was. He uses the idea that the R27ER was better than the Sparrow in a meta where neither were doing anything to smart players playing correctly (using multipathing as it was extremely strong, this is what pyro incorrectly attributes me to using ad hominem)
