Ironic.
Topic is about the A10 don’t derail. Makes 2 more comments unrelated to the A10.
I’ve played these jets before just not in sim. I’m just going off what I’ve observed from fighting them, what I’ve observed from applicable knowledge in playing these opposition jets in air RB, and from facing them in SB in various other less powerful jets like the Tornado.
I think F-14 radar is more than good enough, ppl just complain a lot. That isn’t to say the EJ Kai’s radar isn’t much better but it is to say the F-14’s radar does the job fine. 9Ls are way better than 9Hs yes but the F-14 platform is also far better than a fat phantom without slats and phoenixes are quite deadly.
Holy moly.
You couldn’t possible be more wrong.
A-10C in sim maybe read the comments instead of being a troll, or do you not know how to read?
Which is just fine.
This is a topic about the A-10C which you rightly stated.
The MIG-23 has the same value as the F-14 in the conversation cut the crap.
You only brought the conversation back to the A-10C cause someone was making valid points about how MIG-23 is actually decent in Sim.
“Rules for thee not for me” right?
Perfectly normal results for a dedicated CAS aircraft right? Where are all of the ace pilots from the thread that claim that this is actually fair? Today is the hardest day for the A-10C and I am leading my team to victory by playing it as a pure fighter.
They’re not marginally better, it’s the exact same missile with IRCCM seeker and motor changed to be smokeless. Amount it pulls, the G limit and all are the same.
I said “marginally better” because they are smokeless, which is an advantage.
Yes which in sim means its about 5x as effective. Congratulations. Are you seriously agreeing with the other guy saying the 9L is about as good as the 9M in sim? Please tell me I am misunderstanding.
9Ms are massively better than 9Ls in sim.
They really arent. They are better in head-ons where you should be pre-flaring anyway. But in my experience most of my kills are from angles where the enemy can’t see the missiles coming, or even if they could, would not have time to do anything about it.
They really are. Smokeless means borderline undetectable and IRCCM makes it extremely difficult to shake once fired as well.
Most IR missiles are borderline undetectable unless you are in a head-on. The IRCCM is the same on both missiles.
I don’t agree. 9Ls can get fired in dogfights/merges etc and be detected and flared immediately. I cannot do the same to a 9M. I can have the enemy jet in my field of view and still miss the 9M.
You mean when you are turnfighting an A-10?
what?
I do not understand what situation you are referring to
When a 9M is fired at me?
Lol, okay. Can you tell the difference between a 9M and 9L from behind? When will an A-10 fire a 9M at you from the side and manage to hit you unless you were turnfighting with it?
