Oh and better make sure you spell things correctly or have perfect grammar can’t fix that too…
Yeah.
I am looking to see if I can Find and Replace the URLs in my docs but they are a ton.
I am also not sure if things will change so I will wait a bit before I do that.
Also, given that the old forums will be “open for 2 years” I am not sure how I should react to that. Should I save each webpage locally? Or relax and hope that they will migrate everything? Will I have to modify my URLs again if they do?
Ok, so forum on PC looks good and will work I guess. But we need some mobile version. As atm you can’t see much on phone. Or you see too much and this isn’t clear to read.
I’m not used to new forum style because accustomed to old forum style but trying to adjust
New forum easy delete old massage but can’t edit
Well, this is hideous. :(
The same genius decision to remove personal avatars and signatures too
They’re clearly not migrating much. The new forum only has one level of hierarchy, no subfolders, just tags below that, so they actually can’t, I don’t think.
It’s the internet, no one should have expected any different… so long old forum, was fun. tears-in-rain.gif
I hope they at least move suggestions that haven’t been passed yet. Lots of good suggestions made by people who probably are not even playing anymore.
so far gaijin hasn’t fixed anything about it, there’s more negative point in this new forum
Please revert this right now!!!
They wont, because migrating information would mean they would have to admit they made a mistake
**And as we all know, Gaijin never makes mistakes **
If the forum continues like this, basically no one will use it anymore, it’s very strange to mess with the forum
That makes sense. Thanks for information.
Tragic.
I will slowly save what I need locally.
Oh no. Dark mode. The horror. Grow up, this community and the CoD community will cry about everything.
And because we don’t have the ability to edit posts now???
It’s also less functional, and more awkward to navigate.
Thanks…
Oh no, Gaijin unilaterally nuking the old forum and not migrating any of the threads to the new site, and then making the new site a nightmare and a half to navigate
This is HORRENDOUS! It’s like you guys took the forum back to a BBS system from 1990!!!
I have seen a lot of changes but WOW, this one takes the cake for the worst forum change I have ever seen in my lifetime.
You need to raise your trust level seems at level 2 we can edit topics…for 30 days…
The new Forum is really clunky and a huge step back - its nowhere near as comfortable and organized than the old one.
The missing national sections alone are super terrible.
I disagree with the (eventual) removal of a decade of threads, many of which still contain valuable information that may not be acted upon by developers or community members within the time allotted.
The content within, sources especially, may be lost forever.
